| -4 proteins sounds like some wacky math to me. For net carbs you DO subtract the fiber and thats usually the number you see if they give a "net carbs" list. If it were 6 carbs total with 4 carbs of Fiber then you would count the carbs as 2.

| Proteins are not a carb. Something is either a fat, a protein or a carb. To figure net carbs you take total carbs and "can" subtract the following: - dietary fiber - sugar alcohols - hydrogenated starch hydrolysate - glycerin as per Dr.A. I debate the sugar alcohols..............

| And if you live outside the USA you may find that the deduction of fibre carbs has been done for you! In the UK and many other countries labels list carbohydrates including sugars in a separate section of the label to the fibre carbs which have already been deducted!
