Default A Question or Guidance....

Hi everybody,

Scooter here. Um, I have started posting in the second time around club, because I lost like 70 pounds, and I've been struggling + or - 14 pounds. So...starting over. Kind of giving myself a jump start and doing induction again. I've loosely thumbed through my book and haven't found much on this subject. I thought there was....anyway.....after I do induction do I jump back to my level six rung? OR....is it safer to start the rungs back over and try to figure out where I failed? Good news is....I realized before it was a total disaster ya know? After you all get done kicking my in the butt....could you offer to shed some light on this subject?

Thank you!

Did you fall off the plan completely, or are you trying to break a stall/plateau?

If you fell off, then go back to Induction, get back into ketosis and restart your OWL. While you are getting back into ketosis, sit down and figure out what went wrong the last time. Then you can decide to either re-do the rungs or to jump back where you fell off. For example, if you fell off the last time because your wife threw you out of the family home, cleaned out the bank account and left for the Monaco with her 18 year old boyfriend, then you pretty much know you fell off due to an unnatural amount of stress and picking up where you left off in OWL might be okay. However, if you fell off because you were bored or got frustrated with your weight loss or just slowly started to 'eat bad', then you might want to go through the OWL again just like the first time.

If you are trying to break a stall, don't go back to Induction. Just review your menues (foods and food amounts) and review your exercise regimen. I went through OWL slowly and I learned that my CCLL increased as I became smaller and did more physical activity and in order for my to continue losing weight, I had to add more carbs to my menu. For others, they needed to adjust the amount of food they ate. For example, you don't need to eat the same amount of food you ate at your highest weight, when you are 50 pounds smaller. Other people needed to adjust the amount of added fat in their menues. And other people ran into problem foods that affected them. So if you are at a plateau, review, review, review.

Haha Thanks Megs! Yikes...glad it wasn't the wife running off with the 18 year old!! No just eating bad. So, if I understand right, finish induction, then go back through the rungs again. Gotcha! Thanks!
