www.fitday.com is a wonderful place, you just enter your ingredient and it does all the work for you, just remember to adjust your amounts that you use, I.E. cups tsp or tbs.

Thanks! I pretty much see everything except for the cheese. I dont know which one to click on. If it help I use the 8oz packages of kraft mild cheddar cheese, the little brick packs, on the package it says 0, but I know there has to be some in it? And is that the right kind of cheese to use? It seems like its working, ive lost 18 pounds in 11 days so far, but I'd like to know if i'm using the right kind, thanks!!

Thanks, glad its the right cheese cause I love the stuff! I'm currently eating the 3-4oz limit a day, but a ittle later im gonna cut down on it. So is it like .5 carbs per ounce or is it 1 carb? I just wanna make sure im getting in my 20 carbs right, I'm adding it as a half a carb and im pretty sure thats right, but could be wrong...

Default Re: Carb Counter?

Dr Atkins says in a footnote to the allowed foods list
Quote:
*All cheeses have some carbohydrate content. The quantity you eat should be governed by that knowledge. The rule of thumb is to count one ounce of cheese as equivalent to one gram of carbohydrate.
So I count each ounce as one carb regardless of the 'true' carb count.

I'd tend to agree with Elizellen...better to over estimate the carb count than underestimate that way you'll always be slightly below what you think and not be so likely to go over the limit!
