I like salads for lunch with chicken or steak or some kind of meat and some boiled eggs.

Lettuce "wraps"--use awhole lettuce leaf and wrap whatever you'd have in your sandwich in the lettuce leaf instead of bread. These are one of my favorites.

Oh you bet, I love the lettuce wraps, both on eggs and with tuna, chicken just everything. The lettuce adds to the flavor. Anything that will chill the urgings to cheat is fantasitic.
Also Joy, Congrats on quiting smoking. You look great and I believe people notice both the weight and smokeless smell about you (if that is a term to use)

Thanks Don, yes people who know me do notice and are so supportive. I'm very thankful that I've quit smoking and have lost weight and have taken a path of being healthy. I wasted too many years being a fat, stinky, sickly, depressed mess.

Leftovers are always great for lunch too.

Hi solittle! One of my induction lunches I really enjoyed this past week was turkey breast coldcuts wrapped around a celery stick for crunch and dipped in mayonnaise. Fun finger food and easy-peasy!

You know Joy, This is what these forums are for. Each one of us have testimonials of our own problems that others seem fall into the same pattern. I am one to submit, that last year, I too noticed other posts that peeps have posted here. They helped me like no other one could. I thank all of them for thier thoughts and opinions (and spelling.. doh!!).
Now with Solittletime asking for a food idea, well... this is the best place to come. Your idea with the lettuce wraps is great. I hope Solittletime has a great presentation.
You know, weight loss is an emotion that only we who loose weight can really attribute to feeling. Sex is great, winning a Race is great, but to loose weight is the Greatest Feeling of all. (now I am not saying it may replace Sex.. haha.. but it is a unique long lasting feeling we all enjoy). It is personal and private. You see yourself everyday and you are your worst critic. So take it easy and close your eyes for a bit then re-open to a whole new you. Dream a little. It is better than playing the Lotto, Here in Atkins, you know you are going to win.

/hugs

If you cook up some crustless quiche and freeze them they are great for lunches on the run if youare short on time. I like to have salads for lunch at work. My favourite at teh moment is baby spinach leaves with thinly sliced smoked chicken breast fillets , avocado, shaved parmesan cheese, crispy bacon pieces and Mayonnaise .....now i am feeling hungry!!!! goodluck with your journey!

has anyone tried those low-carb mission tortillas to use as wrap? I was buying them and cutting them in half.. which would amount to 2.5 net carbs.. but it seemed i was stalling..

they taste amazing.. just like the flour normal tortillas.. 12g with 7g of fiber.. but it just seems too good to be true...

anyone had luck on these or should i stay away?
