| Hi Brenda, I feel for you and just wanted to tell you that I had that for a little while too. For me, that 3'oclock slump just came apon me out of the blue and it lasted quite a few weeks while I tried to work out why. Everyone's body is different, and mine I found needed more calories. I also changed my menus around a little because I was eating the same things everyday and now eat more in the beginning of the day as opposed to later in the day. Maybe posting a sample menu in the review thread might help? Our bodies are adjusting hugely and exercise also takes some getting used to. Hang in there, I'm sure with a little tweaking you will get passed it. That great energy feeling will come back

| Yes I agree with Sweet girl... it could be that you are not eating enough carbs or calories. if you post your menu maybe that will shed some light on the problem and help you out. Its not a fun thing to be feeling so bad! Donna |

| I feel the same way, I felt great for the first 2 1/2 weeks and now I feel tired and sluggish again..And I also stalled and maybe have gained a pound. But it seems like every time I get on the scale I am up 2, down 4 up 2 down 5...I really cannot figure it out..I am really getting discouraged.. |

| I'd definitely post a couple of menus in the Review my Menu forum, to shed some light on this.

| During induction, your body can become deficient in electrolytes/minerals. You can often remedy this with naturally salty (and I DON'T mean table salt) foods or those with high mineral content (such as shellfish). Or (and I find this helpful 200% for helping that sluggishness) take calcium, magnesium and potassium along with lots of water. You can get calcium eating cheese, bones, shells. A pinch of Epsom salt (fully dissolved in water) is a Magnesium source. Potassium can be bought inexpensively in tablets.

| Brenda, Hey I have had that feeling too and the suggestions here are great. I just tried to keep on my goals but I would eat something for engery. This seemed to help plus a good night sleep too. The following day I just hopped back on the Atkins program and continued on with his program. Frankly, I seem to think it is anxiety or boredom that hampered me the most. So, I just got up and did something when I felt these two pesty life-bumps. I do try to keep busy which helps. Soon I was right back to feeling my own frisky self and time just seem to rocket by. Hope you work your way though this little life-bump. I am confident that it will be only a short pesty time and you too will be frisky again.. oops I do mean in a nice way that is.

| I have had the tiredness also, but I have come to the conclusion, maybe too much protein and not enough carbs from my vegetables. I think I cut out too much and maybe thats why my energy drops. |
