Try not to be discouraged. You body is just readjusting. Those scales are NOT your friend!

In my reading, I have heard of this before and always soon the person has like a "melt" and it seems like you drop pounds overnight, even though you have been working on it for a while. It is discouraging though, makes you very "pissy" imo. Also, have you been drinking your water well and no caffine-containing products? Less water and more caffiene cause you to be a tad bit dehydrated and cause your urine's specific gravity to be higher and this will cause the ketosticks to color deeper.

I am pretty good about staying clear of caffine but you might be right about the dehydration part. I drink a fair amount of water but could probably use more. And yes it IS making me pissy because it doesn't seem like my hard work is really paying off!

When I was doing sorta-Atkins earlier I would have the ketosticks and I was mad if it wasn't dark, but I started noticing more change when my sticks were lighter because I was drinking my water and when they were really really dark, it was because I wasn't drinking enough water. Hang in there, you can beat this whatever stall it is. Just don't be like "I'll show you who is in charge!!!" and then go eat a bag of chips. We know it ain't right...but we know we do it anyway. And it is only hurting us, not anyone else. Do we think are fat is saying "Oh..that hurt my feelings, I am going to leave..." Hang in there.

| Ummm.. how much did you lose in the first 6 days? Everything everyone else has said is right on... If you're not drinking enough, the ketostix will be darker than if you're well hydrated. If you lost in the beginning, your body can be adjusting before moving on to the next loss... Drinking more water, staying really hydrated will also help your body get rid of pounds so it's really important to keep doing that. Are you taking measurements? One person here didn't lose a pound for a month but lost insane inches.

Yes, measurements are a great idea. Sometimes, I could tell a change in my clothes (especially my bra) even when I couldn't tell a change on my scale. I really hate seeing my semi-naked body pop up infront of me everytime I post. But I guess it is a good thing since it is almost lunch time. lol

I hadn't taken any measurements when I started but maybe I will do that tonight and keep an eye on those for a few weeks. Hopefully inches are coming off if the scale isn't decreasing.
