| Keep in mind, you should find someone who's also your height when asking that, since 140 for me would be pretty skinny, and 110 would be unhealthy.

| Thanks for the quick response, yeah, I guess I should have included that they be around the same height, as that weight for taller ppl would be unhealthy. And by the way, Congrats Lyssie on all of the weight you've lost!! I was looking at your stats, and that's awesome! You don't have far left to go at all. |

| 5'3 and 110 lbs is not unreasonable if you have a small frame. I spent most of my adult life at 114lbs and I am 5'4. I doubt I will ever see that number again, and I really dont want to. I am shooting for something in the 120's. I am also taking my sweet time to get there, making this a lifestyle change and not a diet. You have to decide for yourself what you would be comfortable at. You can lose the weight but it does come off slower when you dont have a lot to lose. Exersize is the real key. Good luck! |

| At 5'2"-5'3", it took me 5 months to lose 30+ pounds, and I remained on Induction during this time.

| The first time I did Atkins I started at 159 and it took me 6 months to lose 39 pounds. This time I started at 137 and it has taken me just over 2 months to lose 15 pounds, and 6 inches off my abs. I think it is faster or at least easier this time because I already knew some trigger foods (i.e., cottage cheese with added ingredients) to avoid, so I didn't have to waste time with any of those. I've also learned fairly quickly this time that one signal for me is if I feel hungry after eating a trigger food. And I think one of my biggest stalls last time on Atkins was due to too many calories with nuts and cheese, so I did a little calorie experiment this time to find out that I lose best a couple hundred calories below my BMR rather than eating right at my BMR. I love Fitday. I have a low resistance to weight loss according to the charts, and that is another reason I have lost it quickly, and I am still under 40. Everyone's experience is different of course. And pre-maintenance and maintenance aren't optional, unless you want to gain it back, as too many of us including myself have found out the hard way. So whether it's fast or slow for you, as long as you do it correctly, you will end up with success. Doing it slowly and correctly is better than fast and wrong. Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey!

| VH, our stats are almost exactly the same! I started at 140 lbs., and my goal weight is 112 although I might push it lower. I'll see when I get there. I am 5', 2 1/2" tall and small boned, and I'll be 40 years old in Sept. I started New Years Day of this year. Here is my loss to date: January: 9 lbs. Feb: 5.5 lbs. March: 4 lbs. I am doing the rungs, maybe that's why I've slowed down so much, but I like the greater variety of food offered. I'm hoping to be at goal in 2-3 months.
