| Good for you! According to the book, if you added that extra serving, then you remove it and see if your symptoms return. Since you seem to be very sensitive to low amounts of carbs, you might be better off moving into OWL once your 14 days of Induction are up.

| Thanks Megs...that makes sense. My 14 days are almost up then. I guess I need to read up on OWL.

| Lyssie: I'm not sure if it's a good thing that my sister is on Atkins. Here's why: she's all about outward appearances, not necessarily concerned about the inside health. She views it as a way to lose weight, but has every intention of going back to eating unhealthily as soon as she is within her target weight. Essentially, she's going to yo-yo between high-carb/lower protein and low-carb/high protein as the scale dictates. Bouncing back and forth doesn't seem healthy to me. Personally, Atkins is not a temporary fix for me. It is a permanent way of life now, and that's the only way that I think it's healthy and promotes long-term results. I am through yo-yoing.

| Good for you! (Again!) You'll like OWL, because you'll see how balanced and sane this diet is. Induction is very restrictive. But on OWL, you'll have a wider variety of food. And it's a very healthful way to eat too. The only thing(s) you can't eat are sugary stuff like donuts, candy and the like. But if your body allows, you can eat grains, like oatmeal, corn (like popcorn or corn on the cob) and you can eat starchy veggies like potatoes (yes, you can eat potato chips and french fries--technically, but portion control can be an issue with these foods), along with fruit of all sorts. And when you eat these whole, minimally processed foods, you feel 'satisfied', but you don't feel sluggish--if that makes sense. It's a much, much healthier way to eat.

| Oh... well, if she's doing low-carb/high-protein, that's not Atkins anyway... I guess that's interesting.. she's going to stop getting the same results that she wants by doing that... hrm, sorry, didn't know.

| Lyssie: That was a typo on my part. I meant to just say "low-carb." She claims to be following Atkins to the letter. Interestingly enough, though, that apparently includes the last bite of her son's waffles that he didn't finish the other day. Hmm. I had no idea Sorry, I shall proofread next time
