Default Breakfast

I know you are supposed to eat breakfast and I always do but I find it quite a challenge. I am just not at all hungry in the morning. (nice problem to have though!) What do you all eat for breakfast?

There are times when I'm not very hungry in the morning, too. But I eat something--even if it's a half a pork chop or a chicken wing leftover from last night's dinner. That's because there are 2 ways to 'rev up' your metabolism: exercise and eating.

I love hardboiled eggs. I usually make a few and keep them in the fridge. A few slices of bacon, or a slice of ham.

Incorporate some of your veggies in by making an omlette. Last weekend I made an omlette with mushrooms, ham, bell pepper, and made a little homeade salso to go on top (a lil tomato, onion and jalopeno)

I found a really yummy recipe for breakfast muffins on here:

I use a muffin pan, crumble a little brkfst sausage, or ham, or bacon on the bottom, crack an egg on top and grate a little cheese on top of that.
They form into yummy muffins. Make some the nite before, and youve got a quick on the go brkfst the next day.

If I am not very hungry, which happens often in the morning, I have a handful of nuts like almonds or pecans. Walnuts are probably less carby than pecans. Either that or I nuke a few pieces of low sodium bacon and eat those. It's important to eat early to get the motor running.

Hey avwriter, I just read another post that this is your 3rd day... just a reminder that nuts aren't legal on induction.

A quickie for me is some pepperoni slices with cream cheese, a hot dog, cream cheese with cocoa powder and splenda... I don't like eggs. Apparently I *do* like cream cheese though.

Thanks for the reminder. I brought a bag of the things to work, but haven't had any yet. They'll stay on the shelf.

I have 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon nearly every morning. I don't get bored with it very often. If I feel like having something different then I'll have some yogurt (not for induction if thats where you are) or some leftovers from dinner.

I'm glad you guys posted that. I do eat a few strips of bacon a lot of mornings. Glad to know you can have it often. If is just so hard to break the mind set of bacon is bad for you! I have lost a ton of weight and I still struggle with the old way of thinking about food!
