| I used to eat potatoes every single day--I loved them in ANY FORM! They were always very tempting, but I refused to incorporate them back in until I was good and ready. After 8 months on Atkins, I finally had my "first" potato. And you know what? I was addicted to a food I cannot tolerate! After eating the small piece of baked potato, I had horrible stomach cramps and really felt gross. In a way, I'm happy, because potatoes were a food on which I would always go overboard. Now I have a "natural" defense mechanism...and I won't ever be eating potatoes again!

| Wow, interesting thread. I can only just trust myself around chocolate. Before, I was like a chocolate junkie. Particularly chocolate covered nuts. I was worried I couldn't handle nuts, but they seem fine. I still know exactly what and where chocolate in the house is (cooking chocolate I hid in the study drawer, hoping I'd forget about; and BF's white chocolate in the living room) but I am fine with it, no urge to eat it BUT I think that's because I can have cocoa powder still - I'm not sure if I could give that up, which probably means I should. |

| Well, I guess mine would be the brownies that I make. (don't really have a desire for others) I have a husband that is about 5'9" and has trouble keeping the scale over 145. He also has a major sweet tooth, so my pantry always has stashes of chocolate chip cookies, milk chocolate Milano cookies, vanilla wafers, and pound cake, among other things. That is what is in the pantry, right now, as we speak. He also asked me last night... "what else do we have that I can snack on, babe?" LOL... it's a good thing it hasn't bothered me to have that stuff around. However, my son's favorite thing is my brownies. And, I have not made them since I started this on February 28th. I don't think I will anytime soon, either. They are too good! As far as foods that aren't sweets... so far, nothing has given me fits yet. Yay! |

| Emma you are so like my dh! He has no use for desserts but could live on chips and french fries (your chips lol) and crackers - he loves salt. Me, I don't need that stuff AT ALL. But could really and truly eat nothing but dessert all day
