My hair's gone low carb too - grinning

Hi all. I just have to tell you a funny story. My partner and my hair was looking a bit dry. So we've whipped up that old fashioned hair treatment of avo and good quality mayo. So now I'm sitting here with green hair and a plastic bag on my head. Then I remembered that if you put avo on your face it's an excellent moisturiser. So the shells got rubbed on. And now we are sitting here looking like we are auditioning for SHREK THE FOURTH! But .. then we realised that it's a low carb beauty treatment. How funny!!!

I've got very dry hair too, how much avocado to mayo did you use? How long did you keep it on, and did you use heat at all? Did you add anything else?

Hi there. Just blend one big very ripe avo with a couple of tablespoons of high fat mayo. Pop it on your hair and rub in well. Put a plastic bag or shower cap on to keep it moist. Keep on for a couple of hours - you could probably get away with one hour or so. Then wash out. Pop some conditioner on and rinse out. And it really made a difference for us. My partner had a very bad flaking scalp. No flakes today. And my hair is glossy and very soft. Have fun trying it. Lotsa luv to you.

Nope ... haven't tried the egg yolk method. I may have to try that one in future. And ... no ... I don't work for the avocado board. Best buy shares NOW .. international peeps buying avos like crazy!! grinning
