| I think that the book said 65% of foods coming from fat, around 30% from protein and only 5% from carbs (mostly veggies)...and it said during induction don't count calories, just eat till you are full. If you are eating around your body weight (example if you are 200 pounds eating 2000 cals should be allright) you should be fine. I just finished reading it and pretty much memorized it lol....oh, you can use this website called fitday to count percentages of the foods you eat..just input the foods you eat and it will do the rest!

| Good advice so far. As others said, don't be concerned with calories during the induction phase of Atkins. Read up on the book or at least a lot of the information here. The point of Induction is to switch your body's energy source to fat and not carbs. As you go through induction, eat until you are satisfied...don't stuff yourself, and the natural effects of ketosis should reduce your appetite.
