Foot Spasm???

I've been having A LOT!!! Not ones in my legs (I've had those off and on through life...lol), but these are in my feet And they're terrible.

Is it low Potasium (sp?)??? Are foot spasms common when doing Atkins???
I think I've heard people talk about muscle spasms before...not sure. Any help would be appreciated

Yep its a lack of pottasium, check out your veggies and their content, spinach, broccolli and most green ones are good... or you could opt for a supplement, i found when i switched to greeny veggies i was okay!

Nicole, I had the same thing about a month ago but I take a supplement of Pottasium a day. That totally took care of the problem.

First of all ... OMG you look fantastic. Well done to you. I experience severe leg cramps when weight loss becomes really rapid. I didn't do the pottasium (but I'll know to try it now). I just saw my GP who gave me some very good anti-spasm stuff that didn't affect weightloss. Lotsa luv to ya.

Agree on the potassium, since on Atkins we drink tons of water, and if it is not replenished, the cramps come.. and most important of all: Potassium has an important role on the heart muscle fuction... anorexics die for an extreme depletion of minerals (potassium and magnesium) in their bodies, and their hearts just stop beating for being months even years on starvation. So.. Follow Dr. Atkins' advice and get both potassium and magnesium supplement!! And stop waking up in the middle of the night screaming like I used to do... LOL... By the way... potassium is terrible on stomach when taken alone.. ALWAYS TAKE IT WITH A FULL MEAL OR YOU'LL END UP WITH SEVERE HEARTBURN A N D CRAMPS
