| I've heard a lot of people say it happens to them. I wish it would happen to me. I'm hungry all the time! I know my body well enough to know that if I eat whenever I'm hungry I'll never lose a pound. I have to be hungry quite a bit in order to drop pounds. But, yes, apparently that's quite normal. |

| It might be more psychological than physical..? I've heard that many of us who hold on to extra weight sort of have fears about loosing.. or on the other side of gaining it back. From your photos it looks like you are doing pretty well on the plan. Do you have any doubts or fears that you won't keep it off? If so, your mind may be playing games with you. You know, making sure you don't back slide.. My suggestion, for what ever it's worth, is make sure you eat!! It's important to keep your body supplied with nourishment or you will literally eat yourself. You can do real damage to your body by under-eating just as you can by over eating. If this persists you may want to consult a physician...Under and over eating are two sides of the same coin. You are a handsome guy... don't let you hurt you. |

| I had that at the beginning of atkins a couple years ago during the induction faze where looking and thinking of food made me wanna be sick. It did go away for me after a few weeks i believe, though i still didnt feel hungry hardly at all. I strongly believe its a psychological thing tho.

| I did have doubts before, at least that was what i thought. I use to be so maticulous about things I weighd myself, I jotted everything down on a book, and all the other stuff that I sort of fussed about. Then about a month and a half ago, after losing a little bit of weight i decide to try and just relax throw the book out, gave the scale away, and enjoyed my food. I got the food down to a science and I stopped worrying about it. I kept myself busy always working out, going out with friends, I had more energy that I can handle because there is still a lot left over. When I finally weighed myself last week, i was 40 lbs lighter. But as i said a thread ago for some reason i still do see myself the same way I did several months back..................maybe it is sub conscience, i dont know. Hope it goes away cause I want to enjoy my food again.

| I know exactly what you are saying. It takes a little time for your mind to adjust to your body changing. To this day, going on four years with atkins and losing over 100 lbs. I lay my clothes out on the bed for the day and look at them and think to myself " you aint getting in them" Then I slide them right on. It's like christmas every day. You'll adjust, it take a little time but it will happen. Oh and Flame, CONGRADULATIONS DUDE, YOU LOOK AWESOME!

| I went through a few weeks of not wanting to eat and even thinking about eating made me want to hurl. However, the next few weeks I was starving all the time. I truly believe the eating cycles are our bodies adjusting. Before starting this WOE I had horrible eating habits. My tpyical day was 2 sodas for breakfast and usually some candy. Then I would work through lunch so I would end up having a few more sodas to curb my hunger. Then I would come home and cook for the family (while drinking a few more sodas) and not eat cause I was so tired. So I think when I first started this WOE and was eating good plentiful food my body said hold on stop that I am not used to it. Then it adjusted and said hey I like this eat more. It seems like the last month or so has been cycle after cycle of eat and dont eat. Just force your way through it and you will do fine. Congrats on your wonderful success. You look like a new person and sounds like you feel like one too. Enjoy the energy and focus on your goals.

| The fact that you threw the scale away makes me smile in awe. Cool! Yep, not wanting to eat is a sign of knowing your satisfied, but make sure you do follow Dr. A's advice of not going more than 6 waking hours without eating. Your body can go into starvation mode and that's not a good thing Cheers! |

| are you into OWL yet Flame?? you look awesome by the way! I remmeber feeling like i didnt want to eat when i was in induction but once i added some carbs back in and moved into OWL that went away. I think the more carbs you eat the more appetite you have. Heavy ketosis like you experience in induction will definately blow you appetite away
