| If you do want to use the bars, shakes, mixes in your Atkins you need to look at the list of ingredients to help you decide which phase of Atkins they are suitable for. BTW ignore anything printed on the wrapper as to which stage of Atkins they are for - go by the allowed foods list and dont eat anything which has ingredients that are not on the induction-legal list. So if they contain milk, nuts, seeds, berries, melons, soya (except for tofu) apples and other friuits or grains they are NOT induction-legal and should be kept till you are on the rung of OWL that allows all the ingredients.

| There are 2 problems that I have had. One is letting things creep into my diet that I shouldn't. I would eat one Atkins or other low carb bar and then find them on sale somewhere and eat too many. Or have a few nuts and then a bunch or cheese or soda or several things. You have to keep a close eye on those things. The other problem is being too strict. Getting to the point that I don't like what I am eating and begin to think eating that pizza is woth weighing 300 pounds. So avoiding any of that stuff is best. BUT if you need something to keep you on track (and probably about once every month or so I have a bar) then it may be worth it.

| I've never tried them. I've seen so many people use them and stall that I decided when I first started this WOE that I'd never let them slip into my WOE. I think they would be good to have in situations such as disasters for an emergency. There are so many meals you can make, many substitutions for high-carb meals and low-carb desserts that I haven't had the desire to explore low-carb products that are advertised.

| I use the bars only once in a while, like if I'm in too much of a rush to make myself a meal. I'll use it as a replacement. However, due to the MALTITOL, I limit my use because it causes diarrhea!!!! Anyone else have that problem?
