A question about Ketosis and smoking

Okay, I know that tabacco has little to no effect on the diet. But I am trying to give up smoking anyway, so no worries.

My real question (which I kept out of the title for obvious reasons), I am bi or tri monthly marijuana smoker. and I was wondering whether marijuana has any known interruptive effect on ketosis?

I know about the munchies, but those can be curbed by having a variety of ketosis friendly snacks on hand before lighting up (e.g. a tray of carrot-less green veg with blue cheese dressing, a handful of macadamias, a couple of sugar-free jello cups (with a little whipped topping), and a bit of cheese.

any thoughts or first hand experiences (preferred).

nah it shouldn't affect ketosis on its own, but you're right, it WILL stimulate your appetite big time....and its easy when high to inhale an entire canister of nuts/bag of baby carrots, etc lol

good luck quitting smoking...since I quit I feel much better...its hard at first but its worth it if you can get through those first 3 days or so are probably the worst. you'll have the widthdrawels...but hey...if you can handle induction and the carb withdrawels, you're strong enough to ditch the cigs

If you can avoid the food it's gonna make you want to eat, you should be fine. I have no self control when I'm "under the influence".

I'll eat anything on hand, pretty much. I was just trying to point out that in my house there are only diet friendly foods around, so eat is a safe eating zone (withn reasonable limits).

I've never tried a carrot when high, but I bet if I did they'd be the best damn carrots I'd eat all year!

i drink tea when i'm... having 'happy time'. My biggest problem is cream. Its the only naughty thing i have in the house so when il 'happy' i tend to eat it from the tub.
