| HArd isnt it? Well done for not scoffing the cake! When there are birthdays I always bring something atkins friendly. THere are many great ( and yummy) atkins friendly cake recipes and cheesecake recipes ( some induction friendly too!) I always make sure i bring those along for my brother ( he is on Atkins too) and myself so we dont feel left out. Actually the non-atkineers tend to love my atkins cakes too!

| That's nuts. I went home last weekend and my mom had made some yummy food, but it wasn't atkins friendly. Luckily, my family is very supportive of me losing weight and they're healthy eaters so there's nearly always something I can eat. Even if it's just a snack. Hang in there. If you're family doesn't have snacks/food available to you just take your own food. Sometimes my family has ordered pizza on a Friday b/c Saturday is grocery day, so there's nothing to eat. I stop by the grocery store before I get to their house. |

| Congrats on not giving in!! i have a birthday party on sat and i asked what food there is, i have being told that there is lots of chicken and cocktail sausages so i don't feel too bad now!! BUT GO U!! i don't think i would have the power to say no to my ma's food! |

| My son's Birthday was yesterday so I know how you feel. It does get hard at times but I promise it does get better! I felt like a much stronger person by saying no to all that. |
