| I think you did fine! When I get a sweet attack I like sweetened cream cheese with lemon or cocoa.

| When I was a newbie, the moderators here used to advise everyone to kill their sweet tooth, because the more you fed it, the more it would want making the Diet harder to follow as you moved along. The best thing for you to do, is to sit down with yesterday's menu and see what you ate. If you added something "new" to your menu, you might want to drop it and see if the sweet tooth returns.

| I would have done exactly what you did. When my sweet tooth strikes, I will often make myself a mocha - coffee, cocoa powder, splenda, and heavy cream. Hot or cold. I also generally have coconut oil around, and I can heat that with some cocoa powder and splenda and then chill it - it turns out exactly like dark chocolate "bark" and when you get to the nuts rung you can put almonds in it, yummy! I know that mods have always advocated killing the sweet tooth. I just have never wanted to. Splenda doesn't stall me, and having a tiny portion of something sweet doesn't trigger anything for me. |

| If sweet tasting things don't trigger you, then by all means, it's your Diet. But for some folks, one taste and they fall off the wagon. I remember we had one member who had a 10 pound weight loss goal. She would write post after post in the Induction forum about how great those frozen cheesecake bites/clouds were. If someone posted a thread about their sweet tooth, she would immediately post something in there about those clouds/frozen cheesecake bites. Needless to say, there were people who followed her advice and fell off 14 day Induction because they fed their sweet tooth. Look over your menu, see what happened. Drop anything you think is suspicious. Cravings, especially cravings for sweets, are a sign of blood sugar instability.

| I do whip cream when I get a taste for something sweet. I'm not sure why the need to "kill" the sweet tooth when Atkins himself provides legal alternatives..... |
