| Here are thanksgiving threads from last year: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=35214 (Thanksgiving) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=37605 (Preparing for Tgiving) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=37238 (Drean Thanksgiving Menu) By the way, many traditional Thanksgiving foods are naturally low carb: Roast Turkey Some hams: read the package because they can contain added sugar, or find a smoked picnic--that has a hammy flavor Real Hollandaise sauce--the kind you make from eggs and butter, not the kind from a jar or packet. Steammed or sauteed vegetables. Raw vegetable salads. If you are going to someone's home for Thanksgiving, bring along a vegetable dish that you will be able to eat and to share.

| The same applies to Christmas and New Years: Naturally low carb traditional foods: Turkey Roast Beef Ham (check the package for the carb count per serving) Vegetable salads Steammed or sauteed vegetables Hollandaise sauce (the real kind) I would suggest to everyone who is on Induction now to start moving up to OWL and start going up the OWL rungs and finding your CCLL---it will make your holiday 100% easier if you can have an extra 5 net carbs of broccoli or faux potatoes or faux mashed sweet potatoes. Your stomach will be less apt to demand a slice or two of pie or cake or a 1/2 dozen cookies, if it's nicely filled with veggies and meat.

| I pretty much just have turkey, ham - or whatever meat we're having... and then I'll usually just have veggies, with butter. This year I'm planning on making sweet baked potatoes with butter and a little bit of splenda and cinnamon since I finally made it to that rung on OWL... It's YUMMY, just like candied yams. Oh and I'll also be making that cheese cake from Linda's site only with an almond crust... it's the bomb! oh and I'll attempt a low carb pumpkin pie with a nut crust too. Mmm now I"m hungry...
