| It is a bit confusing as Dr Atkins didnt actually use the word 'rung' when telling us how to climb the carbohydrate ladder in Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) phase. He called the groupings of food to add back in order as written in the OWL chapter 'levels' but here (as we are describing levels on a ladder which are usually called 'rungs') we call them 'rungs' too. So OWL rung 1 is the same as level 1 of the carbohydrate ladder (more induction-legal veggies), and rung 2 is the same as level 2 (dairy) and so on up the OWL ladder.
