| Why are you limiting your calories to less than 1000 per day?

| Don't step on the scale, unless you can look past the frustration of your weight fluctuation. It's just water weight going up and down. I once read that when you exercise you can retain water. I also read on this forum that if you consume less than 1200 calories your body goes into starvation mode, which could be why you're not losing. Make sure your percentages of fat, protein, and carbs are correct. |

| Hi all...I thought we were to go about 1000 to 1200... Some days I tend to be hungrier than others, depends...I am eating breakfast when I get back from walking...other way around? I bet if I got off coffee right? I force myself breakfast..havent done that in YEARS...I know I have to get metabolism kicked in... Lunch is favorite meal...and probably most caloric intake but not always...last night was more at dinner than lunch...had late breakfast so didnt have lunch but snacked on celery...I can post my fitday menu for you to take a look at what I am having...any input appreciated, I am so impatient, I am sure that is what my dilemma is... http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...Griffs+Goddess I am a very senstitive carb'er...gain FAST/ALOT if I eat too many good or bad carbs.. please take a peak...thanks |

| I noticed that you didn't eat the chicken skin yesterday. You should eat the skin, because that's where you would get some fat. I'm really bad with pie graphs or anything mathematically enclined, sooo the way I set up my fitday is that it tells me my percentages. I think it's supposed to be 65% fat, 30% protein, and 5% carbs. Also, according to fitday you're burning 2000+ calories, don't be afraid to up your calories. I try to eat a little bit of something before I go anywhere in the morning. For example, it could be just an ounce of cheese and a bit of water, but at least my body knows I'm awake. Although if you're running, eating anything could upset your stomach. I struggle with patience as well, believe me. You'll soon realize the number on the scale isn't as important as it seems now. It took a while to learn |

| I would agree here with the others - you're WAY under your calorie needs and that's likely a big contributor to the stall. Atkins says to eat until you're satisfied. I know sometimes that's hard - for me at least, all the meat-type foods are harder/slower to digest. My system isn't used to that so despite feeling very hungry, I often don't feel like eating simply because I feel like the last meal is still digesting. I've had to find ways around that situation in order to keep my calorie intake at a successful level.

| something else to keep in mind....a heathy loss is one to two pounds in a week. We all tend to lose right away during induction, but then slow down. I'm trying (though not too successfully) to only weigh myself once every two weeks. |

| 1000 calories a day is crazy low not unless you are a tiny, tiny person. Enjoy the joys of Atkins and eat that chicken skin, or some other counter intuitive thing. Your body is probably hanging onto every calorie afraid that it is going to starve. Eat woman! Eat! |

| If it is sold by the I haven't seen it. If I do, I'll be sure to in your direction. Would you be kind enough to do the same for me?I've been plateau'd for 6 weeks now as well. I keep shifting between the same three pounds and it's . I know. Believe me, I know. ![]() I'm right there with you. 6 days a week, not eating anything I shouldn't be eating, etc etc - and here I sit . It's not fun. But, if we hang in there, keep pushing the water, keep working out and keep doing what we know is right, it'll go. It will. Now where is that ??
