| I don't know if it helped, but I like it with mint. No milk. Little caffeine.

| There are so many good things that green tea does for you that I just drink it anyway. I have no idea if it is helping me lose weight. However I have heard that it is supposed to aid in weight loss. Wouldnt suprise me. |

| I've been taking Green Tea Extract (2 capsules daily) for the past 2 years. I dunno if it helps lose, but I certainly have an easy time maintaining! Betty

| I like a nice cuppa of green tea in the afternoons too, but like some of the others who have responded here, I haven't a clue if it helps.

| It helps fat oxidation. I still drink a cup or two a day . (Decaf) Before I started Induction, I took 2 green tea extract pills a day. I had to stop after a few weeks, heart pallpitations. It seems it was equivalent to 13 cups a day and waaaaay to much for my system! Good Luck |

| Green tea (“ocha”) The Japanese insist that you imbibe green tea with every meal. They will swear that its healthy, fail to inform you that it is chock-full of caffeine, then smile secretly to themselves while you bounce off the walls. Whilst I have been in Japan, looking at the ingredients of these pre-made bottled green tea drinks, not only do they have some ridiculous caffeine content. I have also noticed that an added ingredient is nicotine. Out the about one hundred different types and brands available, I've only found one that doesn't have caffeine, and about 60 that don't have nicotine.

| No-one has every said to me that it helps to breaks up fat. However I have never asked that question. So, I'm unable to answer your question intelligently. Japanese men and women are so slim, yet eat white rice, noodles, Raman, and all sorts of carbohydrates. They do drink massive amounts of green tea. I'm linking the two, with no evidence of a connection. I would recommend drinking green tea. If you can afford to buy a slightly more robust blend, then you should try to. |

I don't believe in "miracle foods", personally, because when a food is promoted as a "miracle" food, it's not used in its traditional context. For example, soy is a "miracle" food. Reading how the so-called experts describe it, soy-based cultures drink a glass of soymilk with a tofu breakfast scramble in the morning, snack on soy nuts or soy chips on their coffee break, eat a tofu burger, with soy mayo and part-soy bread, a soy latte in the afternoon, and sit down at dinner to a plate of soy chicken Cordon Bleu, soy beans (edamame), and a bowl of soy ice cream. The food is blown out of proportion and its traditional use is distorted. Typically, more of anything isn't good, so you have to wonder if the purported benefits are still there or if any adverse side effects are increased with overuse.
