| Hiya Alvysyngr! Glad you want to re-commit to Atkins along with your wife. Maybe you should check out the pregnancy forums. You'll get lots of tips and ideas for your wife there. She should eat at maintenance for the duration of her pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Hopefully, it shouldn't be too difficult for you to adapt your menu and just cut out the extra varieties of foods she eats, until you are on the correct rung. The most difficult phase would be induction, as it is more restrictive...but induction need only last two weeks, which isn't long. OWL (ongoing weight loss) is still terrific for weight loss, and you'll be able to share more with your wife. Happy losing!

| Congrats on the baby! I think that you will be ok. A lot of the foods your wife needs to eat in addition will not take that much prep work(an apple, banana, a serving of WW pasta). Those sort of foods do not tempt me very much(however cakes and such do but they aren't good for pregnant women either!). If she has cravings for that sort of thing she can eat them when you are not around. I assume that you are not together 24/7? |

| I totally agree with Maggie, just throw in some healthy carbs for her. She can have whole grain wheat bread, pasta, rice etc. Buy a variety of fruits for her. The "Atkins" foods will be great with these additions. Congratulations!
