| Don't skimp out on the veggies--they're non-negotiable. Continue Atkins induction with your VERY NEXT BITE. Proceed with induction as normal. If the fudge incident happened on day 9, your next day is day 10 of induction. Don't start all over again. Now you know that peanut butter is a trigger food, congratulations. You know to skip it (or to proceed with caution) when you get to Rung 3, nuts/seeds.

| I agree with Julie, dont skimp on your 'legal' foods because you ate some non-legal stuff! Carry on eating to plan as if you hadnt made that fudge

| What do you consider being reprimanded properly?? Will this do??? I think you have reprimanded your own self enough. We all make mistakes. This is an ongoing learning process. The only people that don't make mistakes are those that are not doing anything at all. I learned that I could not have peanut butter in the house, not even all natural, sugar free. I only found this out by going through the rungs and trying it out for myself. Your recovery process sounds fine to me. You did the right thing by throwing the rest out. If it is still in the trash can and you have the urge to fish it back out, spray it with some kind of nasty cleaner. Keep your carbs low today, but eat some veggie carbs. Eat extra fat and moderate protein. If the 'turkey roast' is processed meat containing sugar, you should avoid it, as well. Just go back to induction as if you never deviated at all. Forget what is past and move on. This won't be the last mistake you make, but I think you learned a valuable lesson from it. Sunny!

I have some cabbage I can add to my salad and some cooked cauliflower I can eat too (I love it with butter and I'm so glad that it's legal on Induction). |

Yeah, that'll do just fine. LOL Quote:
Yeah, I could see myself doing something crazy like that. Quote:
Luckily, I've made sure to check the ingredients for any added sugars in any food I purchase, so this is just a plain Turkey Breast Roast that I have to cook in the oven. Thank you everyone for all your helpful advice! |

| Hallie, You have learned an important lesson ( NO SWEETS IN THE HOUSE!!) but although it is a slight setback it is not the end of your success with this WOE. Just take a deep breath, drink a gallon of water I have quite a sweet tooth myself and know how you feel. I did eat ONE BITE of chocolate cake on Christmas (fortunately it was on DH's plate but it was SO-OOOO good . I would not trust myself to keep any sweets in my house at this point.Good luck to you!!
