Do you know it is estimated that it takes 21 days to create a new habit, allowing the brain pathways to develop to the point where the new THINKING process becomes familiar.....http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...of54wkegos.png

Hi, it went good, thankyou. I was up through the night ++++ driving me mad! and I went shopping this morning and went a few times..think the securtiy guard thought I was up to something, but I know enough people in there!
I thought I would have a head ache by the end of yesterday, I didnt and I wonder if it is to do with the amount of water each person drinks? Its midday and I have just had some eggs with mayo and a vsmall salad, leaving the rest for this afternoon before I go out. I think it will hit me tommorow as Im sat here doing some work and I feel kinda of heavy?
You have done really well, did you find it easier once out of induction? I have read you can stay on induction longer do many people do this?

I stayed on induction for about 18 months I think, but really feel I should have moved to OWL earlier, to get more veggies in!!

Once you have moved on up to the berries rung you will have so much more to choose from - more veg, yogurt, nut flours for baking, berries to eat with that yogurt, etc - which makes Atkins more adaptable and easier to stick to than the more limited choices on induction.

Though I have moved into premaintenance levels now I could be happy only eating foods from the first 4 rungs, as I seldom bother with the higher rung foods unless I am eating out and fancy a few roast potatoes or slice of whole meal bread.

I think I may get bored on induction, but im going to look around this site and find what ideas people have come up with, this is the beauty of belonging to this site I think.

I wonder if I will cope ok without the veggie side of things, I hate feeling constipated...

Another thing you can do is add flaxseed each day, either garnished on salad or veggies - or you could eat it plain. This is a big help for constipation. Keep posting and keep us informed on your progress....we care and are here for you!
