| PB as far as I know is not induction friendly ........... you have to wait until you are on the nut rung and then you also have to make sure it is not ladden with sugar ........... Make sure your cheese doesn't exceed 3 oz a day ............ As far as the fat goes you want fat!!!!!

| Arghh I know I blew it, I just made this thread hoping of getting the answer I wanna hear Nah no sugar in the PB, just peanuts, salt, with vegetable oil and fat. Still too much fat in one go I guess. So now that me destroyed the atkins plan...do I have to start over the two weeks or just continue from where I left off? Please dont tell me I gotta go through another week |

| Just continue where you left off. And keep in mind peanut butter is not considered 'a fat' fat is fat: ie, butter, oil etc. you should aim for approx 65% of your daily percentages to be fat. You cannot have peanut butter until you are on the nut rung, and 6 tbsn's would be far more than a serving. Put the peanut butter away until you reach that rung...and when you do reach it be careful with portion control. Nuts and Nut butters are a frequent issue for alot of people (including myself). Since you've already eaten it: Was it regular peanut butter or unsweetened natural? If it was regular peanut butter, you should coun't 5g's of net carbs for 2 tbsn's so that would be 15g's of carbs on your daily allotment. If it was unsweetened, it would be approx 4g's net pre 2 tbns so you should coun't 12gs additional. You are best to check your label just to make sure however. You may also want to pick up a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet revolution for the exact rules etc.

| Yeah the carbs assumption is correct. Good thing I had this meal and had to make this thread - I didn't know nuts weren't allowed in the first two weeks. Keep the jar out of reach? Are you kidding me it's going straight into the dust bin after this I have the manual somewhere on the computer. i think I'll take another look. |

| I think six is kind of high. But, your body should forgive it. Just stay really tight on the induction mode till you get the ketone production going again, if it stalled or something.

| I must be reading the wrong manual. I just had another look at it and haven't found the rule about no nuts. I checked into the foods to avoid list, and they weren't included. yes for the first two weeks that is. Then...under snacks there is this suggestion: Celery filled with peanut butter Must be his new modified diet of his original. |

| Hi Sonic, on this board we follow Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution's rules and food lists. I've actually never seen the book that is pictured in your post. We do have some threads with the induction rules, and food lists, as well as the OWL Food list, but I do recommend you pick up a copy of DANDR Induction rules: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6782 (What are the Rules of Induction?) Induction food list: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781 (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)
