| First of all welcome to ADBB! A few questions: - How much water are you drinking? - When are you testing? - Can you post a detailed menu from a typical day - including amounts eaten etc? That would enable people to give a more detailed response. But that said, there is probably nothing too much to worry about. Do you have other signs of Ketosis - such a bad breath, feeling less bloated, more energy, some weight or inches lost? There are quite a few people who have lost a load of weight and never had a positive sticks test - they are just a guide, not the be all and end all.

| I probably haven't been drinking enough water. The first couple of days I drank quite a lot but then I felt like I was sloshing so I definitely cut way back on that and haven't really made enough of an effort to drink enough. A typical day has a bit of cheese or meat (like a piece of sausage) in the morning, a big salad for lunch (usually with cheese or pepperoni or chicken on it), and something like turkey breast and green beans for dinner. Sorry I haven't put quantities, I'm not great about being able to measure that kind of thing! When I snack it is usually on something kind of slim-jim like called pepperami, carbs seem to be low enough in them though! I do feel better about the stick not turning though if it doesn't turn for everyone. I feel like I am doing ok on this diet and in fact today turned down chocolate from a co-worker in front of lots of other co-workers when one said "Here! We saved the last piece for you!" Also today we had a catered lunch with a really yummy looking cake for desert but I didn't have any so really, even if my stick doesn't turn purple I know that I am doing well! Thanks for the advice! |

| Great job on turning those items down, you'll thank yourself for that later! Make sure to get water in, what is needed is different for everyone. Also, if you are not used to drinking it everyday, do what you can and gradually add to it, you'll soon notice a difference and want to keep that water intake up! Are you exercising? As far as your menu goes, maybe you are sensitive to sodium? Slim-jims, pepperoni will have alot of salt and fillers, what cheese intake, it can stall some so if you don't know if you are eating 1 or 10 ounces that may be a problem? You could eat more in the morning for breakfast also if you want, how about an omelette? Don't worry about the stix, just keep at it! You are doing great! Tracey
