| Don't stress!! It almost always happens! Usually the first two weeks, you drop a bunch, then the third week, maybe a little, maybe a slight gain. Hormones, TOM, or just your body putting up a fight to hold onto the weight. Be patient and then all of a sudden, you lose a few pounds. It never comes off steadily, but as long as you're staying on plan, you notice inches lost (even when the scale gets stuck). Losing a 1/2 pound a day is great! That is still steady progress and most of us don't get that lucky! If you haven't already done so, take your measurements and create a journal. When you get frustrated, you'll see your progress. Good job and keep up the good work! I wish I exercised like you do!

| Sometimes your body needs to regroup after losing weight. When the scale isn't moving you are most likely losing inches. That is why it is so important to take measurements. They can be just as motivating as seeing the scale move! On another note...there is something call Post Induction Stall Syndrom or PISS...I have heard that this affects many people...I know there is a sticky about it somewhere... You are doing great! Keep doing what you are doing and the weight will continue to go down! You just have to be consistant!!

| Just keep what your doing and measure yourself. I would say its a good sign your clothes are getting looser. My hubby is experiencing the same thing. He is in his third week, and after 2 weeks of good weight loss he gained a pound. Just keep up with it. In a week or so the weight will start coming off again! |

| I wish I lost 0.5 pound a day. It is completely normal to go up and down. Sometimes I am up 3 then a few days later is down. The important thing is that I track my weight each day and the trend is downward. My scale is always slow on the uptake, meanwhile my clothes are falling off me. |

| I agree with what everyone is saying. That 3rd weeks seems to be the one where your body is adjusting to your initial weight loss. It happened to me the first time on Atkins, that I was up a couple of pounds, and this time as well, I am on my 3rd week, right now mirror. So don't fret, just stay focussed as you have been, and the #'s will start to drop on the scale! |

| One thing you'll need to get your head around is the varying pace of weight loss you will have. When people have a great induction and drop a heap of wieght, it can make it all seem very easy, but that can't, and couldn't, last. It kind of stopped me in my tracks when I came to this line of your post: Quote:
You are still losing fast, it'll get slower than this. You will experience pounds going back on for a few day, weeks when you lose nothing. There will be times when it will get a lot slower and you;ll be happy with a pound a week, and you need to be ready for that and ready to just carry on when the scales are not telling a happy story every day. Stick to plan and the weight will come off. But you cannot take your weight loss during induction as being what you will typically experience.
