| I checked on the Atkins website and there was no listing for flax, and I have lent my book out so I couldn't look in it. So yeah, still confused! Unfortunately the package was thrown out long ago and the seeds were in a different container. Thanks for the help though! |

| Did you use 2 cups of flax seeds or did you grind enough to make 2 cups of meal? The USDA numbers Elizellen cited are the same - it's just that the meal takes up more volume than the seeds so there is less of it in 1 cup. In other words, 168 gms seeds = 48.53 carbs less 45.9 fiber = 2.63 net carbs is the same as 112 gms meal = 32.35 carbs less 30.6 fiber = 1.75 net carbs

| This is why I bought my cute little digital kitchen scale. Then there's no doubt of whether you fluffed the seeds or compressed/packed them in, etc. Of course, I dirty a lot of dishes weighing everything |

| It was two cups of ground flax. How much is 112 grams of meal? I didn't weigh the flax. I can't believe how confusing it is just to find the carb count of two cups of ground flax! Grrr! The bread was awesome, it was Books Sweet but Legal Flax Bread, though I made a savory version. It tastes great and helps move things along if you know what I mean. |
