I had to look up what that was, but it is a thing of beauty!!

Cauliflower is great deep fried. Dip really chilled cubes of cheese in egg, then almond flour (once you reach the nuts rung) and deep fry mmmm. Chicken is good too.

Use corn oil or sunflower oil and change it often to avoid trans fats.

You can make "breading" from parmesan cheese and egg, or in later rungs, almond flour, soy flour, etc.

Try:
jalapeno poppers
"breaded" mushrooms
celery root chips
turnip chips
mozzarella sticks
chicken wings

OMG OMG FRIED SPINACH!!!! Be careful though it pop when summerged especially if they have water on them but with a little bit of parm cheese on it after its done, it is SOOOOOO good. I wish i could make this, i would have it daily its sooo good and its crispy and just oh wow especially if you have it hot and warm.
INGREDIENTS
  • 4 cups peanut oil for frying
  • 1 (10 ounce) package washed fresh spinach
  • salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Place a large handful of fresh spinach in fryer basket, and submerge to cook for about thirty seconds. Drain spinach on paper towels, and repeat with remaining batches. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
I have included the link to this recipe below so you can read the reviews that give little tips people had when they tried it:

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Deep-Fr...ch/Detail.aspx

It may take some practice, when i had it i had it from one of the best restuarants in town lol so they may have had it perfected.

beyond that: I found this:

"
OMG - I fixed an old WW recipe tonight and it was awesome for lowcarb. I steamed fresh broccoli & cauliflower until tender and drained well. I rolled it in beaten egg and then grated parmesean cheese. Then I pan-fried it in butter, turning until all sides were brown and crunchy. OMG -- it reminds me of the fried veggie kabob I usually get at the State Fair. It was an awesome side dish to my NY Strip steaks. What a meal -- what a woe!"

This one i figure you can do really with any bird meat and cut it into smaller sections to fit in a smaller fryer.

http://www.culinarycafe.com/Holiday_...Prime_Rib.html

Now i just scanned everything in these links but you will have to evaluate them to see if they are for your rung of atkins, and if you find something you can't "have" ask on the board what someone would substitute it with because i am finding for low carb there is ALWAYS a low carb substitute for everything we enjoy.

Yes i am procrastinating at work lol. Gosh i want one of those!!

And lots of food is great deep-fried 'naked' (no breading at all) too!

In UK fried chicken sold in fish and chip shops is usually done this way - in fact it wasn't till KFC opened up outlets over here that I discovered that anyone ever coated chicken with batter to deepfry it!!

The batter for Chili Rellenos does't use flour, so maybe you could use that idea on all sorts of other deep fried foods. Just make sure the veggies are dry so the batter will stick and you don't have to dust with the bad stuff

Cauliflower is a low carb induction friendly veggie, the deep frying does not change te carb count at all.
