| Me, I love the taste of water. But, There are things you can do to liven your water up. Fill up a pitcher with your daily goal of water. Add ice, fresh cut lemon, lime or cucumber. The colder water is, the better it seems to taste imo. I have even added a drop or two of peppermint essential oil to my water. (only do this in a disposable plastic water bottle or glass bottle or pitcher as I can never seem to get that peppermint smell out no matter how hard i try. They now sell peppermint water in the stores. I have also noticed that water tastes better from glass. I bought several "fuze" juices and gave the juice to the kids (though if you are on the fruit rung and dont have a prob with artificial sweeteners you could drink it its very low carb. I took the plastic off, washed them out and now have very sleek looking glass water bottles I carry around. My water definately tastes better. So to sum it up: Temperature matters. (some prefer room temp or tepid, so find what temp you like it best) Glass doesnt leech anything into the water so it can stay clean tasting. You can always add essential oils (just a drop a little goes a long long way) or fresh fruit such as lemon or lime or even cucumber for a nice fresh flavor. Now about drinking in the middle of the night, I definately have to keep water by my bed. Not only do I get thirsty at night (and get up at least twice to pee) but I found that if I dont drink at night I wake up with weird dehydration headaches like Im hung over. I fixed this by upping my water intake during the day but I can always tell when I fall shy of getting my minimum for the day because I wake up the next morning needing aspirin as if I got soused the night before. OH, and congrats on being so close to that goal!!!! Thats awesome!

| I didn't like the taste of water at first either but I pushed on and yesterday I almost drank a gallon. I rarely drink anything else now. I do get sick of it every now and then but I just try to get me a nice cold bottle and think about what it is going to taste like when I am skinny. |

| Oh yeah, and I keep water by my bed because when I first wake up, I don't get straight up, I read or do computer work so I like to get a jump on my water for the day. |

| How weird that you started this post. I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I don't know if it is because I am sick and my taste buds are off or does my water really taste bitter?? I have one of those 64 ounce mugs and try to drink at least 2 a day. I just keep telling myself that the water is flushing out the fat |

| If you're not hungry, don't eat. If you're not thirsty, don't drink. Listen to your body. Be sure to check the scale though. If your body's not getting enough water you'll be thirsty and your weight will go up because your fat cells will cling to the water you do have. What DANDR says is true - if meat or cheese doesn't sound good, you're not really hungry. If water doesn't sound at least palatable, you're probably not thirsty.

| Hmmm. Is it tap water? Maybe something's odd. If so, have you tried bottled? Do you have Twist down there? It's just water and a tiny bit of something to flavor it.

| I agree with Mitzi--just because you're not thirsty doesn't mean you don't need water. By the time you feel thirst, you're ALREADY dehydrated.
