Default No more cheese for me...

I have noticed that when I eat cheese not matter how little it is, I stall and feel bloated and tummy aches. I guess it is because I overindulge. But I can not stop. I love cheese. Since I have come to the conclusion that I have no self control and cannot stop after one bite, I will have to hold off on eating cheese for now.

Maybe you're actually allergic to cheese. It's not uncommon.

That can very much be the case. I did'nt really eat much cheese before this WOE but now it is a part of my daily menu.

I love cheese also, but it is the very first thing I cut out if my weight slows or stalls. It could also just be due to the high calorie content. When you eat cheese it only takes a tiny bit to make an ounce and it is very easy for a cheese lover to consume 1000 calories or more just snacking on small pieces.

Good for you for realizing this Is cream cheese an issue for you or just hard cheeses?

To get familiar with how small a chunk one ounce of cheese is I used to cut my cheese block into smaller blocks of 4 ounces as soon as I got them home when I was on induction. Each day I would cut that small block into 4 so I knew how much one ounce would be

Then I knew that once all 4 ounce chunks were eaten I had reached my daily maximum.

Maybe you can cut down by only using cheese as a garnish for a while (that is if you are like me and could munch through a few ounces in no time when using it as a snack)

I find cheese is a great alternative if I am out with friends who want to eat cakes with coffee. I order a piece of block cheese (usually it is a couple of ounces worth I am given) and cut it into really small chunks, then let each small chunk almost melt in my mouth slowly to make it take longer and savour the taste with my glass of tap water.

If they have finished their cake before I have finished the cheese I wrap it up and take it home to add to my stash in the fridge. (I always carry a few small plastic bags with me, as 'doggy bags' in restaurants/cafes are not a UK thing)
