| snow4rt, welcome to ! Do you have a copy of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution 2002 (DANDR 2002)? On induction you are allowed 3-4 ounces of (hard) cheese per day. If you don't have the book there is a thread in the FAQ that lists all the Induction legal foods.Good luck! |

| As Clogger said, there is a limit on cheese - also we are supposed to count one carb per ounce of cheese no matter what the real carb count of it is.

| Yes what Clogger says. On induction we can actually eat very little cheese. 3-4 ounces is not much. Some food like cheese says zero carb but is not really zero carb. The rule is that if is is under 1 whole carb the label makers can say it is zero. So it may be 0.9 or something. All cheese will have carb in it because milk has some sugar (lactose).

| THanks for the informatio about the cheese...I did get the book but am slow in reading it. I have been going to weight watchers for about 15 weeks and lost 9 pounds, and was wanting to shake things up so I am still going to WW but doing the atkins diet. I weighed in this morning and had lost 5 pounds my first week on atkins. I was really piling on the cheese though thanks so much for the information plan to cut back this second week.
