Bayer Ketostix

Hi guys - I'd been using a CVS brand keto-stick product and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I couldn't get into Ketosis. Well - I started using these Bayer sticks and Whammo- they seem a tonne more sensitive. It shows me there - pretty much when I assume I should be.

Anyone have experience w/these??

I have always used the Bayer brand and have had no problem with them working consistently well for me. I'd definitely give this type a thumbs up!

I just paid $29.00 for 100 Bayer Ketostyx at the local pharmacy. I found that about 10 were faulty. I am one of those anal people who uses one each time I pee (I also get on the scale everyday ) so I just ordered a significantly cheaper ($6.00/100) brand off www.netrition.com. I will use at least half the bottle and report on the quality of the cheaper brand.

I've never used any ketostix other than those made by Bayer. I didn't realize there were any other brands, now I know. I get mine at Target.

I've ordered from Netrition before - they're good. Let us know if the sticks are in-date and OK. If so I'll do the same. Thanks for the tip!!

I love the bayer Keto stix..my sister who is diabetic gives them to me .

OK - I'm reporting back as promised regarding the LW Scientific Ketone Strips from Netrtition.com. TOTAL CRAP - DO NOT BUY THEM!!!. I found with the Bayer Ketostix that about 10 out of 100 were faulty (didn't change color at all). With the LW Scientific Ketone Strips I found that about 45 out of 50 were faulty (I threw the remaining 50 in the trash). I also sent Netrition.com an e-mail telling them to please remove this product from their site. There are some new reviews of the product since I purchased them and it seems everyone agrees with me.
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR - I am going back to Bayer!

I buy the CVS brand and they work fine for me at a whole let less! Also, I thought a read a recent thread here that suggested that cutting stick in half was not as great an idea as originally thought...

Thanks for the info - I do not have the patience to cut those babies in half anyway - so that won't be a problem
