| First, can you resolve the heartburn without pills? Maybe take a look at your diet, make sure you're eating properly and at regular intervals, not too late at night, and also not going long periods between meals. Is there any food you get heartburn after eating? Try and avoid that. Try and get to the root of the problem rather than finding a temporary fix. If you need that relief, I advise taking another form if you can. I use a tub of this powder which I mix in a glass of water (it tasted like aniseed, not nice but it works!) I get very bad heartburn at times but its better to address the problem rather than try finding alternative short-term solutions. Sorry if I'm a little preachy about it, lol, my mum developed oesophogus problems due to years of heartburn and heartburn relief, so I hate to see other people do it too.

| I too was getting heartburn alot when I ate alot of carbs and sugar. Mine all stopped once I started Atkins.(going back on June 1st.) For me, carbs like breads, sodas, even milk, would give me heartburn like crazy, and I was constantly popping Tums like a drug! They do have a Sugar Free Tums in orange flavor, which does have 1g of Sugars. If all else fails, seeks medical attention because you could have Acid Reflux Disease, which can lead to esophageal cancer and other problems.(All the acid from your stomach will do damage in time to your esophagus.) |
