| I'm pretty sure they count it as drained. They probably would be shocked that we fry in bacon grease and use it to season veggies like green beans and cooked greens--especially if you grew up in the South! I just count bacon grease as the same as lard. They would have the same fat content. Lard is rendered pork fat, just like the fat that is left from frying pork bacon.

| i did a search on that the other day, and it came up for me as "bacon grease, or meat drippings" i don't remember the exact words i used for my search. i just went and searched it again, and if you just search bacon on pg 2 of the list it shows bacon grease, or meat drippings. hope that helps. monie

| I use the "bacon grease or meat drippings" selection. I also use the "lard" selection when I don't use bacon grease (which is processed) but use fresh rendered pork fat.
