| I know how frustrating it is when that scale just won't budge. I am in the same boat. My weight goes in spurts. The gaps between drops sometimes last a full month. When I do finally get one I am always hoping for 4-5 pounds but it never is--it is 2-3 after a month of work. I keep telling myself it isn't a race. It took years to put the weight on, and it is going to be years getting it off, too. Here's my two cents... I know it is hard to do, but if it is going to make you nuts to weigh in, put the scale in a closet (or have the kids hide it) and pick a date a couple months from now to weigh in. In the meantime, concentrate on how you feel, how your clothes fit, and doing the WOE as cleanly as possible. If the crummy feelings that scale is causing you are the kind of thing that can make you toss in the towel, then it's no good to keep it around. I have come to view the scale as an evil entity that tries to lure me off the WOE by playing on my weaknesses. It is actively trying to make me discouraged. So I can't let it beat me and get inside my head. LOL Crazy? Yes, but then when it disappoints me I look at it as a challenge instead of a failure. Sending you a big encouraging hug. Days like these are never easy. Jill

| That sucks. I weigh myself everyday, and sometimes Over the coarse of two weeks I'll lose nothing or a .5 pound and it sucks. I've decided to stop weighing myself everyday and won't weigh in again till the morning of the forth of july. I'm working out everyday until then, doing the candida diet and drinking a ton of water. If I only lose 1/2 a pound I'm killing myself. Not really, but you get the picture. |

| You are still losing, if not pounds, but inches. And that is all that matters. So long as you are headed down not up you are winning the battle. Stay focused. God Bless, Joe |

| If your body is not used to that level of activity and those workouts, you're not going to see a loss on the scale- but you'll see it in inches. Any time I switch up my exercise routine I can count on a GAIN of 2-4lbs and it usually sticks with me for about 10 days or so..give or take. If the two-a-days are new to you, your body thinks it's in a state of emergency. It will retain water and your muscles will retain water to get it through the perceived state of emergency until it figures out that this strain is the new norm. Then and only then will it let go of the excess water. Two-a-days are rough on anyone. I'd advise you to work smarter, not harder. You will see bigger and better results if you incorporate strength training into your routine than you will killing yourself with cardio. The combination of the two is unbeatable, and honestly, if you can only do one of the two..do the strength. That said, it doesn't sound like your workouts are over the top, but be sure you're eating good foods, taking your supplements and getting in PLENTY of water. On the other hand, be sure you're not out-eating your workouts. I do that to myself. Working out will make you hungry- and when I'm hungry I eat. I have to be careful when I'm really working hard because I catch myself eating too much to drop the weight I want. There has to be balance. I'd also strongly advise against setting goals you have no control over. You can not reasonably control how many pounds you will lose in a given amount of time. You can not control how fast you hit a number. You can, however, control how often you work out, how much water you drink, how much food you eat, what foods you eat, how much sleep you get, what supplements you take, and I'd strongly suggest you set your goals around these things. These things will get you closer to that number you want- (which should be a clothing size or a waist circumference, not a goal weight Keep on keepin' on and hang in there! The best is yet to come! ~Brook
