| Thanks tomorrow!!! It is so hard, frickin anat/phys, why oh why did I ever think I could do it ONLINE?? Oh well, gotta just plug along!! The big thing, is I am not stress eating though, no 1/2 packages of oreos, etc.. Thank gosh!! Yay, welcome to all the new buddies joining us!! Great idea to move here Elsie, betcha didn't know you had a knack for real estate, did ya? LOL! Oh, and tomorrow, I was reading on here about communion, it seems that the general consensus is to just do it if you need to. Hey, if I took Nyquil/Dayquil for 3 days, full of sugar, and I still lost 10 pounds over induction, I don't think really, that communion would throw you off. Ok, yeah, I did find responses to last night's posts, but in case anyone is wondering, I was wondering how bad it was that my bf ended up drinking a Sprite at work yesterday and what he could do abot it. He has been doing so good, he is on day 12 of induction, lost over 12 pounds already. He is a laborer and asbestos abater, hard physical work. Anyway, he drank all the waters he brought, and had nothing else to drink but a sprite, he was sooo thirsty, he was welding all day. So he drank it and really didn't want to, he said if he was going to cheat, he would rather have a big ole carmel roll from Bridgemans, lol! He was so upset! So I told him to just drink lots of extra water to flush the sugar out of his system yesterday, and that is about all he can do. We plan to just stay on induction anyway, so I'm sure it will work out. Ok, back to the assignment I am working on! TTYL |

| Wow, I can't believe communion was actually a real topic that other people talked about. I thought I was being weird actually sitting there having that internal discussion. In the end I decided it would be perfectly acceptable. Wow! I think your advice on the Sprite was spot on. There's not much else he could have done, either at the time or after. I don't think it will cause much harm, as long as it's not a habit.

| I agree with just drink all the water he can and flush it out. I dont think there is really anything else he can do. Just let his body get rid of it. Good for him on losing 12 lbs already! |

| welcome Splandrea and Andrea!! we are so happy you have joined us! You will see we can sometimes support each other several times a day...LOL! What stage of Atkins are you on?? Tomorrow...Wipe that sweat off your brow...you don't get to count any of it as your milage..LOL! Re: Communion.. Prissy says...When I take communion I consume only a tiny amount of cracker and juice. Reducing your overall carbs the day before might help too. You can also reduce the frequency of communion for yourself...a common opinion is that if you do it every week it becomes routine and we tend to lose the attitude of reverence and gratitude we should maintain during the experience. So if you still had problems you would only have to face it once a month. Thedogatemyname says...The Lord's Supper is one of those times where I just don't count carbs. I'll drink the juice and the cracker. The importance of this is much more to me than the carb count. I have a feeling Jesus will work it all out Irishmom82 says...Contrary to a lot of "beliefs" you actually do not need to consume the body and blood for the communion to count. If the bread/cracker is causing you cravings just have small sip of the wine. For you to fulfill the Sacrament of Communion you need to consume either the bread or wine, you do not need to have both. Try just taking the wine and see if that causes cravings. This is all according to the Catholic Faith. I can find a source if you would like it. More replies... Sunday Communion Val...well see..I didn't exactly find this spot all by myself...It all started when I smacked a flopping negative fish and he pushed me back...and with a little help from Elizellen....here is where I and we landed. Home artificial sweetner Home. Hmmm...just doesn't have the same ring to it does it? Oh well...all tastes the same once you add the drool! Keep working!

| Hi Ellie, Wow, wow, wow, about all that communion stuff. I actually didn't really "worry" about it, it was just an internal discussion that Yeshua and I were having a little giggle about. He assured me it was mystically carb free.....and no, I didn't get any cravings because of it. Interesting it's such a serious issue though..... My favorite challenge would have to be.....the speed bag I think. I didn't start the challenges until Jun 11th (except mileage, I had a bit of that in), and the speed bag even later than that, so I'm pretty proud of how much I've done. Plank it hard right now because I'm a bit on the heavy side, but it will come. I used to be able to do over a minute at a time, right now I have to take rests now and again. Jump rope is hard being heavier too. When I was boxing a few years ago we would do this for about half and hour as a warm up. Again, I was probably 40 pounds lighter...it makes a HUGE difference. Everything comes back in time though, as the weight drops off and the heart strengthens up.

| I think I started all of that communion hub-bub. I think it was all in my head. The first sunday it "caused" me to cheat. The second sunday, it did not cause any cravings at all. Anywho... I am owl stage #1, this is only my second day of that. I have lost 12.2 pounds since I started induction 16 days ago. How awesome is that!? I am almost halfway to my weight goal of losing 90 pounds (combined with doing five months of weight watchers and only losing 26 pounds). I am actually starting to not mind what I look like in a bathing suit!

| Tomorrow...I can see how that would be fun. I actually looked at them and a kick bag one at Christmas for my 11 yr son. Thought it would be a fun exercise. Don't want him to get into boxing though. May still do it. I am still thinking about it. Splandrea..I know that there have been other posts about Communion...yours was just the most recent one so I grabbed that link. Lots of good answers in it. Splandrea...Monie and I are also on our second day of OWL rung 1!! Good job on the weight lost so far! Did you know that on the days you are not trying your new veggies that you are to eat 5 carb grams of veggies off the acceptable induction veggie list?
