| Very good advice! I read lables every time, now. They sneak sugar in foods that you never would think would ever have sugar. I really check when the front reads, "new and improved."

| Thanks for sharing. Who'd have thought of looking at the labels from the butcher. God Bless, Joe |

| I bought Heluva Good Horseradish (found it in the dairy case near the dip at our supermarket)...no HFCS in it. The best was homemade from a small butcher shop we went to a while ago. Went back and they were out of it. They only make it certain times of the year

| Sherri, I just bought some horseradish the other day from Walmart and it doesn't have HFCS!!!! I forget the brand name though. The weird thing is that I found it in the dairy section of walmart right by the sour cream??? Who knows. When I get home tonight I'll look at the brand name for you and let you know! |

| Just prepared horseradish or horseradish sauce? I use Gold's Hot Cream Style Prepared Horse Radish. All it has is horseradish, vinegar and salt. It's in the refrigerated dairy section in my stores. My favorite brand (Kraft) of horseradish sauce has HFCS.

| I've been checking labels on meat for years. A member (Peach) from my old Atkins board brought this to our attention in 2004 and I was shocked. They just pump up raw meat to make it fuller or juicier. I've been lax with checking the label on my organic chicken. I wonder if it has anything in there. I'm out of chicken at the moment, but now I'm really wondering. |
