Not really a stall until it has been 4 weeks with no weight loss or loss of inches.

More info may help...how much do you weigh...how much do you want/need to loose...how tall are you...starting weight...what rung are you on...list a menu or 2

Congrats on the 39# that you have lost.

Congrats first off! Amazing success so far!

You're stall may be because of the diet coke and the low carb ice cream. Technically the ice cream isn't allowed until you're on the dairy rung of OWL.

Why don't you try cutting out the Diet Coke and Ice cream and see what happens? Good luck!

Or it could be that you need to cut calories. I read a post today from Brook (who lost a lot of weight on Atkins and has maintained it over 4 yrs). She was stalled for 14 weeks before it occurred to her that her 164 pound body needs fewer calories than her 200+ body. Cutting out a little fat here and there could drop you the couple hundred calories that would make the difference. Things like an egg white plus an egg for bfast instead of two eggs. Or more chicken and fish and a couple less beef meals.

In theory calories don't count but in reality as you weigh less, you need fewer calories to maintain your weight. If you use Fitday you can check your BMR and see what it is. That is a good calorie number to shoot for.

Your weight loss up til now is phenomenal and you may just be plateaued but all of these possibilities suggested on the thread are things to consider.

    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

seeing as you only have about 20 lbs to lose before you reach your goal, you may need to take the next step and move to OWL, this diet is not just a weight loss plan it's intended to be used as a lifestyle change in which you start adding back carbs into your diet slowly. you then learn how your body reacts to each type of foods in the rungs as you make your way up the OWL ladder. then on to pre maintenace, and then the final phase lifetime maintenance.

i've read many post where people have stayed on extended induction for a long period of time, and the weight loss has stalled. then they move on to OWL and start losing again. the first rung is only 5 net carbs of induction veggies, so it's not a big stretch from induction. give it a try and see what happens.

    good luck on your journey.
