| Hey Elsie, thanks for letting me keep Monies's hug! LOL!! Hi Bill!! Yeah, I am really not going to worry about the scale, I can see in the mirror and feel in what I wear that I am still shrinking, glad you shared that about your scale not moving either, I thinks its a conspiracy!! LOL You said you were building a full bth? Like in remodeling?? Does DD live with you? Or are the both of you doing this independently, yet together? Either way, its so good to see her here! If you are working with a hammer, you deserve some exercise credit for sure!! Thanks for the inspiring words!!!! Andie, eating in front of the mirror naked! LOLOL!!!! Never heard that one before! Yes I hope Tomorrow's move is going well!! Hope she is on track still!!! I can't believe I walked 3 miles yesterday, I am such a wimp! But I did it! I am going to FORCE this wt off, lol, I was thinking that on my walk, WILLING it to go away. Dreading doing it again today, I may grab the heard and run to Duluth to get some decent walking shoes, need a pair of white ones for school anyway. Bf could not believe that I bought scrubs a size too small, he looked at me with huge admiration, or was he thinking I am insane? LOL! I told him I am going to do this, just WATCH me! I picked up some things to make this WOE easier for him, berries, some LC yougurts, cottage cheese, more flavors of Diet RIte, some real coffee, chocolate truffle flavored, and some natural peanut butter. I told him to just proceed with caution and be sure to get lots of exercise at work! I told him that it will be more like OWL, and to not overindulge on the protein if he is going to eat a little more "balanced". I still am going to steer clear of breads, flour, rice and pasta though, and he agrees. Hey, at least he is eating LC, and over time, the wt still has to slowly come off. He is willing to just have a little, and that is what its about, I think the yogurts are 4-6 ounces each, but it is enough of a sweet treat, made with splenda, to be satisfying. He made some whipped cream with a little splenda and strawberries last night. Hey, at least he isn't bringing candy bars, granola bars, cases of Mt Dew, and chips anymore to get him thru the day!! Anyone know any tips that would make this successful for him? Other than being aware that cravings could ensue but it does not mean he is starving, keep em under control. Okkk, its 5 am and I have some time to study while its quiet, better get to it. TTYL!! ** hehe, I adjusted my goals!! |

| Morning Peeps!!! Val...way to go on the 3 miles!!! Keep it up....you can do it. I don't know about BF. He was so gunho in the beginning...liked the results....liked the food..liked the feelings...was doing great..didn't even want to climb the ladder but stay on inductioin all summer. One night out and it seems like he thinks all the benefits is not worth getting back on track. I would be doing it just to have you keep making my lunch and dinner....LOL! How much did he gain back from the night out? Has he gone back down in weight? I am hoping with you there to help keep him somewhat in line he will do okay. With you as his cheerleader at least he stands a better chance than some. But really it starts and ends with him. HE needs to want to do it. That is why I said you need to make some rules about what he can bring into the house food wise. If he is not going to support you by being at your side during this journey he needs to support you by not sabatoging you. Yes...I know he hasn't. Yet. That is why the rule needs to be said now and not later as he gets more and more relaxed about the way he is eating. Obviously he can do a modified version of Atkins if you are in control of all the food. And he may do well on it. Men often do better...especially if they don't have a lot to lose and were never really heavy to begin with. Good luck and we are rooting for him! Andie..I am pretty sure that if you are standing naked in front of a mirror visualizing Mandy Moore and eating a cherry pie....that you may have some issues you need to talk to someone about....LOL... (singing....again...) She's my cherry pie.....

| Good for you Val! It works, I swear by it. Elsie~ Dont you sing that song! OMG I hate that song. My sister is 7 years older than me and she was a big hairband lover! Wasnt that band Warren?? As far as eating a pie and visualizing Mandy Moore...lol maybe I do have issues but hey it is what makes me unique! Right, right?!?? Well that is what my mama told me. And I do talk to someone...I talk to me all the time. |

I think he will do well this way, I really don't mind, besides, I will be adding those things back in shortly anyway! He isn't bringing crap into the house either, in fact, he is po'd that I bought granola bnars for the kids, too tempting for him. It is his first time on LC, and he is struggling, it was my idea for the night out too. He still wants nothing to do with wheat, rice, pasta, starcyh veggies, etc, so he is doing pretty good. He will lose, like I said, at least he is trading in his kitkats for LC yougurts and such!! |

| That is great Val. Like I said...I am sure with you there he will do fine!! Read ahead in DANDR for extra tips to help him. Hide the granola bars...you will be doing him a favor as since he is struggling right now temptations will be greater. FYI...there was a thread a couple of weeks back about a wife whose DH was willing to low carb but not do Atkins and so she had him on maintenance and then kind of cut him back on the carbs from there...sort of a backward version of it. Wouldn't recommend it for everyone but in your case you may be able to do the same. Some days higher rungs some days lower ones for him. Just a thought. Let me know if you can't find it and I will help look. Pretty sure it was in the main forum.
