Thanks guys, I will tell him all of your great ideas!! I never thought about the deli section having wraps, or exchanging the potato for extra veggies, how cool!! ![]() Well, another day to face the damn gyro guy, lol! I motivated myself to be good by stepping on the scale again today, and am going down a half pound or so from yesterday, would hate to lose that momentum. Then there is the beer garden tonight at the street dance, which I will be at, BF and I need some grown up time before he leaves. Temptation everywhere! Ah well, I am sure I will do fine. (i hope)![]() I ended up bombing a test yesterday and it brought my av down to 82, kinda irritated. I was so close to that 90%!! And the &$%#@ teacher, he is never online! There were two more tests I took that I feel very good about, why didn't he correct them yet? Grrr. ![]() Elsie, when I ride my bike with my fancy schmancy new gel seat, it hurts my butt bigtime, I think it is just all the wt I have riding on those (pubic is the proper term) bones. It can only get better as I lose. Can't really do much about it. Anyway, I think I am going to fry some gr beef, onions and green peppers, then pour scrambled eggs over it all and cook till done, and melt some cheddar over the top for breakfast. Sour cream and salsa on the side. Used to be a specialty at a restaurant I worked at. Sounds like a nice change!! Everyone have a great day!!! TTYL.

Btw, made these yesterday, and they were unbearably dry, any suggestions??? (Didn't keep BF or kids from gobbling lots of them up though.) Yes, I tried them, they were made with almond flour, which I just ground in my blender. Tasted good though, and I only used 1/2 c splenda, coulda gotten by with 1/4 only for sure! From Linda's site: ELLIE'S PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 1/4 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup natural or sugar free peanut butter 3/4 cup granulated Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup almond flour, 2 ounces 1/4 cup wheat protein isolate 5000 or MiniCarb bake mix 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Pinch salt, optional * A little extra Splenda to dip the fork in In a medium bowl, cream the butter and peanut butter; beat in the Splenda. Add the egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture; beat until combined. Roll the dough in 1-inch balls, or scoop the dough with a 2 teaspoon cookie scoop, and place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Dip a fork in Splenda and press the top of each cookie in a crisscross pattern. Bake at 350º for 13-16 minutes, until nicely browned. Remove from the pan to a cooling rack. Makes about 26 small cookies Can be frozen * Recipe called for 1/4 teaspoon but they came out too salty. With granular Splenda: Per Cookie: 64 Calories; 5g Fat; 2g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; .5g Dietary Fiber; 1.5g Net Carbs Per 2 Cookies: 127 Calories; 11g Fat; 5g Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs Last edited by valleriek; July 12th, 2008 at 01:52 PM.

Hi valleriek, thanks for the recipe. May try it sometime. Kind of afraid to, no kids left in the house. Use to sit and eat a plate of these by myself. So i may stay away from them for a while. Started the nut rung and cant control myself with peanuts. Isnt that silly? Guess old habits or my physical makeup weren't made for them lol. Maybe i can make them walnuts or macadameia? Good luck staying away from the gyro guy. He's not worth it either.

wow alot of catching up to do... ive been so busy with work and stuff ... and i noticed splandrea hasn't been here lately!! where did she go!! haha So I went to curves to do my monthly weigh in and inches calculations/ body fat and Ive lost 13 pounds... 11.25 inches and 5.25 pounds of body fat !!! and the inches i lost about 7 in my waist and hips and about 4 in my abdomen... so yay!!! i could of done alot more but i had not been doing atkins 100 percent until my restart of induction. But I am still so happy... this woman at curves was so impressed she handed me 100 dollar bill and said that this is to help pay for my membership because she wants me to stick with it ... then about 5 different people said if i lose 10 pounds next month that they will give me 100 dollars... it was the weirdest day ... but it was great ... because I was poor and was hoping I had money in the bank to pay my next monthly fee lol and the 100 dollars payed for the signup fee ( I did a study so it was cheaper) and almost 2 months of working out yay! Val- that breakfast thing sounds delicious!!! makes me want to make it and congrats to your bf's weighloss!! Monie- CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 19 pounds!!! Lucky :P Im so happy for you ... I bet you look great! f4n- if i ever get to the nut rung... i will go crazy... but i love cashews and it doesn't say i can have them..

| Morning everyone! Bill...You will be directly blamed for the next Gremlin attack! LOL! Monie...pretty sure my challenge will not include a hula hoop...LOL! Val...remain strong...it is just food...food that you are choosing not to have NOW...maybe next year you will choose to have it...but not right now. You have that power. Sorry to hear about your test and the teacher doing an inadequate job. Copy and paste your cooking question into the cooking chat forum..they should be able to help you there. f4n....Nuts stall a lot of people because of the portion control. Try measuring your serving out rather than just grabbing freely from the bag. Just to give you an idea...2 oz of peanuts will give you 10 grams of carbs. LLL...Way to go!! Not only on the weight lost but the INCHES! That is awesome. And I want to go to your gym so they can pay me! What a good way to make some grocery money. Andie...thanks for checking in. Glad to hear you are still doing well. Do check in when you can! Cleaning up the house day today. Tomorrow is DS's 12th birthday. So a whole day out and about and all the goodies that come with that. Then Monday is the start of Cousin week.

Hey all - just checking in. Rainy day here so not doing a whole lot, but not snacking either. What did the excercise challenge turn out to be? Are we talking about next week? Went out and looked at bikes today - seriously thinking about it. I know I'll look ridiculous, but I really loved biking wehn I was in college. Think it could be something I could really stick with, and hopefully would be easier on the joints than walking. Livelaugh - congrats on the 13 lbs! Pretty cool about the money too. Hope everyone's having a happy, low carb day. Mike
