| Page 8 replies... Vanessa...how was the show?? Bill....great support post. Mike...my tastes buds changed too after being on Atkins for a while...a lot of things did not taste as good as I remembered them. I think you learned a valuable lesson and I am glad you learned it with a cookie and a couple of diet coke. You know it could have been much worse. You are doing great by getting right back on plan and you are sooo close to your goal I know you can make it! f4n..interesting about the tomatoes. May be worth looking into a bit further before writing them off though. Looking into how many calories you are eating with it. I THINK the one in the induction recipe thread is about 300ish cal...but by the time I add on a dollop of sour cream and some parmesan cheese we are getting up there. Plus if I have more than 1 cup of it. So anyway..it could be more that kind of thing. Just a thought. Monie...thanks for the bump on that thread. I really want to keep it going as I think it will be helpful to the newbies but haven't tried anything new to add to it lately.

| page 9 and 10 replies... Cori...good for you for not cheating at the movies!! What did you do instead?? Monie...love to read about the inches lost!!! Mike...way to go on knowing that the movies are not a place for you to be right now and not putting yourself in a situation where you may be tempted to eat off plan. You really are going to succeed! Bill...where is my drawing?? Pout pout!! LLL...How is it going?? Vanessa....right back on plan...that a girl!! Sassy...that is the name of our Degu...welcome...we will all be your buddies! Mike....LOL....the buddy bunch!! Bekka....welcome...thanks for climbing aboard our ship...LOL! We can be a talkative bunch here that is for sure. I will bug you about the rungs later...LOL...it is just what I do. Congrats on the weight lost. Great job! Val...14 pounds down!!! Yippee!! Val...don't listen to Bill...don't sew weights into BF pants...that will probably just make him lose faster...LOL...not that we don't wish him the best BUT....LOLOL! No, really, he is doing great. He can be our guy we love to hate guy...LOL! Oh darn it..the washing machine buzzer just went off...that is going to get everyone up and moving! Cori...there is no rule that says you have to weigh or measure...if you don't want to or don't feel ready for it then put it off another week. Some people never weigh at all. Of course we are all curious but we won't kick you out or anything.....LOL! f4n....way to go on the walking. Already up to 40 minutes. That is great. Sassy...so great that DH is supporting you! Awesome job at the BBQ!!!! We...or really I should say Monie..just came up with the exercise challenge this week. I imagine we will continue it on next week. You can pick anything you want. Even start out small...and it will get easier. Then the next week you can challenge yourself a bit more. I didn't join this week because of company...but will be doing SOMETHING next week. I am thinking maybe up and down my stairs a certain number of times or something like that because I know it will kill my knees in the beginning but by the end of the week they will be better...anyway...that is what I am leaning towards. I am sure you can come up with something if you want. Mike...weigh to go on the 6 pounds down!!! Great job!

| good afternoon buddies. i'm feeling great today. got my final 15 mins weight workout done for our buddy exercise challenge this week. hope everyone else was able to keep up with our little challenge. i felt kinda guilty waiting till the last minute to get it done, but glad it's done. even though my arms feel like jello right now, it was a good workout. i will try to keep it up atleast once a week. welcome to our new buddies bekka and ~sassy1~!!! you will find the people in this group to be very friendly, supportive, and encouraging. i tried a product last night that was absolutely amazing and want to recommend it to everyone. it was a "HEBREW NATIONAL" food product. i've tried their hot dogs, and they are very good. last night though, i bought some of their sauerkraut, and it was absolutely amazing. i made it with smoked sausage and it was sooooooo gooooood!!!! just wanted to let you all know so that if you like that type of stuff that you could try it. i know sauerkraut is not for everyone, but DH and myself love it. hope everyone has a great day!!!!! monie |

| Hi everyone, thanks for making me feel better about the beer. I jut realized Friday was my two month Atkins anniversary. I didn't expect to last this long when I started but now I couldn't imagine living any other way. Yay for Atkins! In unrelated news I saw The Dark Knight on Friday and it was absolutely fantastic. I thought the last was was great and this one just blew it out of the water - best comic book movie ever made.

| Hey all!! I am so excited, hehe!! After challenging BF to not let me beat him in wt loss this week, he decided to help me cook up breakfasts and dinners for him to take while he is at the hotel M-Th this week. He is going to buy lunch, chicken salads, and we are going to cook up the following for him to eat for diners and breakfasts: (He is bringing his microwave) Dinners: Chicken alfredo with broccoli Pizza, made with the thin and crispy cheese crust, and canned green beans venison sausages and sauekraut meat chili and cold broccoli bacon crunch salad Breakfasts: going to make a pepper, mush, bacon, onion quiche Snacks: boiled eggs, summer sausage, and cheese stix Sweets: I am going to make snickerdoodles with almond flour and jello fluff. Also sending Diet Rites and Splenda packets for his coffee. He is going to pack this all in a cooler, the hotel has free ice. I am so happy that he is going to make sure he has a successful week!!! Yay for him! And the good thing??? I will have it easier for me for the week too since I am starting on campus this week, M-Th. I will be able to pack lunches more quickly!! So how is everyone doing?? Good to see you back ELsie, good job at the BBQ Sassy!!! |

| Thanks everyone for welcoming me to your buddy group!! That makes me so happy!! Well today is my 14th day, but since I started two sundays ago, I decided that I needed to weigh myself today and take some measurements! So, I lost 14.5 inches all together!! I measured everything on my body so that way I can see where I am losing the inches. The one that I am most happy with is the fact I lost 4 inches from my waist! **** ya. In the past two weeks I've lost 13.2 pounds, which is amazing nontheless. Elsie, I know everything there is to know about OWL and I know I should start on it right now, but I want to wait another two weeks in order to do so. =) It's only two weeks, not too bad. I'm just doing extended just because I have a lot of weight to lose, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. =) Two weeks left and then onto OWL I go. Mmmm, more veggies. ^_^ -Bekka |

| Congrats Bekka! That is an amazing result! I stayed on induction for a month too before I moved to OWL. I just wasn't ready after only two weeks. Good luck!

| Bekka, I started at about the same time as you and I'm staying in induction for at least another week, too. We're going camping and it will just be easier to go with what we know than to try and change things up then.
