| There are many flour substitutes. Nut flours (finely ground almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans, chestnut, etc.) are suitable for the Nuts and Seeds Rung Legume flours (soy, chickpea/garbanzo, etc.) are suitable for the Legume Rung Grain flours (oat, corn, rye, buckwheat, whole wheat) are suitable for the Grains Rung. The "fiber" or non-digestible carb substitutes like carbalose don't really fit into any rung. They are a "your mileage may vary" type thing.
