| Buddiessssssss I can't believe the trouble I've been having with this site! I tried lastnight for about 6hrs to get on here to post, and it took me about 4 of those to get off one lil post on my climbing board! I was trying and trying to get on here, but at 4:30AM I said enoughs enough.. I'm going to bed. I was so mad It's funny how we can come to depend on being able to be here. I found it made me feel really down when I wasn't able to even read what you all had been up to. But it seems today, that it's working better at least for the moment.VAL - Way to go getting into your size 14's! That's awesome! I hope your test went well and that you got at least your 90% that you were wanting. MAHA - I have to say.. the book really helps ALOT! I constantly am found with my nose buried in amungst the pages (normally in the veggies section) and I would be a lost cause if I didn't have the book. I find it's imperative to COUNT the carbs.. I right down everything I eat and it's carb content, so I can stay on track for the rest of the day and still know how many I have left to use. I write down everything though.. water intake.. excercise, if I did it and how much.. even if I have 0 carb stuff.. It's ALL written down. That also helps if you have a bad week on the scale, you can look back and see where you may have gone wrong. But at the same time, what others have said to you about taking your measurements is true! Lots of times people don't lose lbs but man ohh man.. the inches could be pouring off. Keep track of all you do, that's my motto. Congrats on your weight loss thus far and just know that coming here for support and giving it where one can.. is AWESOME! BILL - Shepard's Pie.. Mmmmm.. I just finished talking to dh about me trying to make one and a potato salad too that are induction friendly. He's game to try them. Maybe if the potato salad was good enough, dh would STOP buying the real deal and putting it in the fridge where I have to stare at it. ~argh~ LOL @ the cereal comment! Thank you for the encouragement and support. Happy to hear it's not raining there, and that you're getting out to the market. I hope your weekend is a good one with the whole family! MONI - I'm very happy to see that you're in better spirits about your challenges and goals you have set for yourself. That you also for the encouragement and support. I have new news to report on the water and climbing status, but will share near the end of this post. I hope all is well for you, your dh, and of course your dbh. ![]() ELSIE - I've seen lots of recipes that have zucchini in them, but there only has ever been one thing I've eaten that I actually didn't mind the taste or texture of them in, and that was a chocolate zucchini cake that my Aunt use to make when I was a kid. Other than that.. So I guess my question is, how does one get over this or can I? I'm afraid to even buy one.. cause I know I don't like them. I hope you're getting some R&R.ANDIE - I hope all is going well your way, and that you're having a terrific day. CINDI - "Eating a whole cow - how many carbs in a whole cow" Have you tried drinking lots of water? I know every time I even start to think of food (other than the real time for me to eat) I just gulp down the water and then the urge passes. That may not work for everyone though? Also as long as you keep track of your carb intake, you could have lil snacks too like mini kosure pickles or olives.. those are just examples. I'm sure some of the more experienced Atkinerz will be able to lead you the right way. Stay strong.. it gets easier with time and knowledge.MIKE - Have you thought about what "Coke" diet or not does to your insides? LOL Just wondering.. I'm a bit of a grease monkey and know from personal experience, that Coke can be used for 1,000,000 things including cleaning your car battery! That in itself has always helped me to never drink the stuff.. that and I can't, cause there's far to much acid stuff in it. Anyways.. that was just a HA HA blurp.. I'm proud to see today that you are ready to give it up and are staying truly positive about it all! Congrats to you!! You can and will succeed!ROBIN - Hello to you SUGAR - Welcome new buddy I have to say, if you have your TOM and the scale isn't moving.. You should be celebrating woman! LOL Sorry, but I know from personal experience that TOM can gain me as much as 7lbs! Who wants that?? Hang in there, it will get better.CARA - Wow.. another new buddy! I'm so excited.. lol Welcome to the buddy room both to you and to your dh. Tip#1.. don't call this a diet.. get that out of your head.. it's a way of life.. you're on your way to training yourself how to eat, drink, and excercise to create a healthier you.. making better choices FOR LIFE! SUZETTE - If you decide to weigh yourself, it should be done after a good nights rest, first thing when you get up before you drink or eat anything and remember to go pee first. LOL Seriously. Also pay mind to what you're wearing, if nothing then always keep it the same, if you were wearing shorts and a t-shirt, wear the same thing so you know it's accurate. It's just a tip I've learned along the way. JOE - Welcome back from your vacation! I hope it was a fantastic one! It's awesome to hear that you never cheated.. not even once while on a vacation, which tells us all it can be done! Ummm.. and as for the ummm.. well.. *giggles* did you say Speedo ![]() Ohhhh my... Well I hope that's everyone ~phew~ if I missed someone I apologize. Yesterday was a pretty good day for me all in all, other than not being able to get on the board. There was my awesome start with my weight loss and inches lost, then by days end I had done 15 flights for my steps challenge and have now conquered BIG BEN! I'm onto the next building, which is the Millennium Dome and that's already like half done! I also did much better with the water.. I drank 128oz's As for today.. today isn't go so well. I think after my TOM being scared to show up for the past 5 days, I think finally it's arriving! My dh even commented, because I'm VERY moody today.. emotional.. Anyways.. I just need to take some 's and I'll be better I hope. Geesh.. Also.. I too don't wanna eat today! I made myself eat one thing at 10AM.. whoopee skip.. I'm trying to get my mind into making lunch and dinner.. but I just don't wanna. Ohh well... I'll check back later.. I hope you're all having a kick @ss Friday! ![]() Ohh and incase some of the lil smiley faces aren't what I thought they were suppose to be.. sorry. It's happening again.. The pages won't work and I'm unable to send this post! I'll keep trying, I just hope I don't lose all I have written in the process.

| Vanessa....good for you for going to the gym today. Consider yesterday a rest day. Just remember not to have more rest days than exercise days. Val...you can't make his choices for him. And DO NOT feel guilty. He didn't need to eat the bun...he CHOOSE to eat it. Tell him if he keep it up though you will save your energy for something else besides getting up early and making his lunches or cooking all day so he has something to eat on the road. All you can do it make sure your choices are good!! Crossing my fingers on your test results. Sassy...if you don't like zucchini then don't eat it...LOL...there are lots of veggies out there on the list to try. I am also going to try latkes with them...see if I can fool the kids into trying them. I want to try jimaca also. Ya gotta eat....something small...every six hours...try doing mini meals instead. Last time I was on Atkins I had the same problem..never hungry. But ate my meals anyway. Tried to find more calories dense recipes to help me keep my calories up. My blisters are popping...OUCH...now very tender. The broccoli quiche looks picture perfect. Can't wait to try it tomorrow. I only used 6 oz of cheese to make it easier to count...LOL. Also made Hamburger Cabbage Stroganoff. YUM! Cabbage from the garden. Hamburger from Cyndi's cow...LOL! Hmmm...what am I going to cook next?? Bill...two pages later and it dawns on me that you tried deep fried green beans and didn't tell me!!! Someone find my whip...hand that man a tomato...it's gonna get ugly in here!!! Do you salt them? how do you know when they are done? Having a lot of trouble with this site today.

| Hey Bud's! tuff getting on here and this might not take--I wonder if it's--I know no one is mentioning about all the "CRAP" ads now on here--even as I write this reply--there is an ad for an unproven competitor's diet plan?? capitalism at it's finest--- still raining..but a busy day anywayz--keeps me moving-- ABOUT THE RUNGS>>>>>>>>> Val--(and you may know this!) did you study how to go about the rungs? I notice you have ramped up foods--each new food you add you can only eat 3 days a week (for the first week only)--every other day..then after the first week and if there is no weight gain or stall or inch's gained--you can have it forever---when I went to rung 1--- I had Asparagus M-W-F and Avacado T-T-S-and I didn't lose--then just had the Asparagus and body was in keto and I lost either weight or inch's--tried Avacado only and no Asparagus and stalled--cut the Avacado!--next went with Asparugus and summer squash for 3 days--end of week all is normal and loss of weight or inch's-- point is-- I now have a successful Rung 1--eating 1 more cup of some veggie's or the proper amount of some new veggie's and still have loss of weight or inch's-- I am now on rung 2 doing the same with the newly introduced ricotta and farmer's cheeses and upping the other's on the list--- the CCLL is so important--I am reading here of people up to 100 or more carbs a day--but still have loss of weight or inch's--

| sorry about the rant Sassy--still reading the NOVEL you posted way to be supportive! ( if you want to try it again) try broiling the zuch's till blackish--you will release the natural sugars and taste something really good. and for those times you just don't wanna--remember-batch cooking and freezing! Study--Great links! and glad you were able to continue your routine!! Joe--WOW--you made it thru Disney!! there should be a medal!! no stopping you now! Elsie--trial and error--and with 2 food critics around the fryer--it was easy--they look really weird tho!! but -MMMMMM--used fresh not frozen or canned beans. Val--crossing finger's in hope's you get a high grade-- Any gut's left?? maybe a bun or two??? Think we could come up with a burger for BF he won't forget Cyndi--how long you been away from states? when you come back are you going to live near your family or DH's?-- Bet I won't reconize Graf now! done any site seeing? wine cruise down the rhine? Frankenstein's castle? all those open air festivals? funny--of all the bad times there--I can only now remember all the good times!

| Bill...I tried zucchini chips and zucchini fries. DD LOVED both and I didn't get very many. LOL! DS thought the chips were 'okay'...which means I will probably not be able to get him to try them again. For the broiled Zucchini's do you cut them in half??
