| Bill...thanks for the fan instructions. You are quite the chef!! You are right...induction is easy. I think that is one of the reasons why people like to stay there. But it does cheat you in the end and I think that those people who do lose most of their weight on induction are the ones with the higher percentage of weight gain. Might not be true but it seems that way to me. I know that with the research that you put into every move you make that you will be a success story!! Mike..looking forward to seeing your cheat free and diet coke free day numbers go up, up, up as your weight goes down, down, down! You can do it! rlfrasier....yep, get those veggies in. They play a huge part in this WOE. The migraine could also be part of your version of induction flu. At least it was in mine. I used to get them weekly or more. Now besides induction...only one. And some little headaches but not even weekly now. Suzette...I would say that gardening and painting definately count. Good for you for joining planet fitness!!! Monie...so glad to hear that you are going to open your home up to another one(two?) basset hound from a rescue. You will know which one(s) are right for you. We went through a rough year one year and lost Grandma, Grandpa, DH's job, 3 dogs and 2 cats and also moved. We were left with 1 cat and 1 dog who died about a year later. Took us over a year before we started looking at the SPCA and a year before we found the dog for us...not what we went for either. We were looking for a mid sized dog...any age and ended up coming out with a lab cross puppy. 6 months later we rescued 2 1 year old cats (that had been returned to the SPCA) and 4 months after that we got the dog that you see in my sig line. Again...not the dog we were going to add...wanted a mid sized dog to play with the other dog and help him feel secure (anxiety problems)..so big dog..75 pounds and little dog..7.5 pounds and the cats and we have a full house again. so whenever you are ready...sooner or later...it will be the right time with the right dog(s). We are so glad that we didn't let the pain from losing our beloved pets stop us from bringing more into our home. The joy they bring far outweighs the pain...even if it does not feel like it at the time. I still get teary eyed over our 'first' batch of kids.

| Elsie-Thanks--I want to really enjoy this WOL--I want all the foods that I miss back--they may be in a different form--like whole grain breads and pasta's--and other non-processed things--and some in moderation--but my diet will be as normal as anyone's--and like you--- I cook up a storm--Some recipe's turn out looking (and tasting!) like mud pie--but I try to keep the family from a rut--anything we have (unless it's awesome!) we only have once every 2 weeks--so finding different recipe's (using only allowed and portion controlled ingredients) keeps me challenged. Monie--lost my first and best best friend when I was pre-teen..a gift from my Mom when I was 2 and Duchess was just 6 weeks---I could not get the grief totally behind me--my mom found a pic of her jumping after a frisbee--took it to a local artist and she painted her jumping after butterfly's in a big field--sits over my mantle even to this day! Mom always knew just what to do....

| WTG-Mike--when you hold yourself accountable--it's much easier to avoid the things you shouldn't have. rlfrasier--sounds like you have a plan--hope your headache passes quickly--a sufferer from birth here too! Suz--that's it! hide the scale!--let's use the tape for a bit!

| Hey Buds! I am so sorry to hear about your heartbreak, Monie!!! I have some stories too, but too sad to share, I will spare you all. I hope you feel better soon. Bill, I do know about the rungs, and am following the basic concept, but I think my problem is lack of cardio, for sure, I know what I have to do, it is just that I have to do it! I am eating LC and feel good about it, I am eating some nuts, and berries, haven't really moved from there. I know that in the long run, eating those things will not be anything but healthy for me. Hey, I'm not eating chips, donuts, or bread!! Treats for me are grapes or blueberries in whipped cream, homemade. Did you guys know that in one pack of Ramen noodles, there are 300 carbs??? 300!!! No wonder people are so overwt!!! I am making very good choices, and I know if I stick to it, this wt will come off. But yeah, thanks for checking in with me, I am being a good girl, foodwise!! And guess what??? I got an A in anat/phys!!! 90.7%, lol!! ![]() ![]() I am working on a paper right now for my other class, on the disease that made my mom blind, called Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, very interesting reading! She wants me to fw her the paper when I'm done so she can learn more too. She has a talking thingy for her computer that will read it to her. Ok, ok, BF is starving, going to make egg foo yung before he eats that cat gut burger, WITH the bun lol!!! TTYL |

| Hey Bill..try this one...it is induction friendly. Even if you don't like pork rinds I recommend this one. I will also post in the recipe thread so no one has to look through our hundreds of posts to find it again...LOL! Cinnamon Toast Crunch" - odd but good! I came up with this while really craving cereal one evening, and playing around with different ideas. This is one of those recipes that may sound too weird to even give it a shot, but if you love cereal try it! 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp water (optional but helps) 1 packet Splenda 1 handful pork rinds cinnamon powder Pour the whipping cream, water, and Splenda into the bottom of a cereal bowl. Add several dashes of cinnamon, and stir. The cinnamon will remain kind of clumpy, but that's okay. Add the pork rinds a few at a time (I like to use the smaller bits that collect at the bottom of the bag for a more cereal-like effect, but you could always crush larger ones) and stir them as best you can until all rinds are covered with the cream mixture. It's IMPORTANT that the rinds get covered, the soggier the better. You'll be able to hear them snap, crackle, and pop at this point.

Too much walking perhaps and/or muscle I forgot I had grew. noone to blame but meslf, I chose to go on vacation. And besides, less than 2 pound gain for a week in Disney I think is GREAT!!So gotta move butt into gear this week, somehow without exercise of course,(LOL). Perhaps I ate something I wasnt supposed to as I was sleepwalking,*wink*. It is possible. Or it's too many of them turkey drumsticks. |
