| Did you move up the rungs? I remember you were entering rung one - but still somewhat low on carbs. Are you eating enough - calorie wise?

| Still on rung 1. Struggling to get in my daily intake of food in general the appitite has completly went away. Perhaps i should try and up my caloric intake and see if that does the trick. |

| How many calories are you eating? If you are using fitday go to the activities page. You should be eating near your Basal calorie number. Below that and your body goes into that nasty "starvation mode" where it hoards every pound and doesn't let go. |

| I have a fitday account but havent used it recently but i can almost guarentee Im not eating enough, as im just not hungry at all, great feeling btw but not helping in the weightloss situation obviosly. Id assume that lately i have been consuming at most 1,000 calories a day. Im going to upping it starting..now and see what happens! |

| First goal is to eat more calories to avoid the whole starvation thing. On days where I'm just not hungry, I try to sneak in a few high calorie items. As an example, I'll eat a hard boiled egg for breakfast but add in a dollop of mayo for an added 100 calories. One day, I whipped 1/4 cup of heavy cream in a bowl and grabbed a spoon. I felt guilty later, but wound up losing a pound the following day. Who knew losing tasted so yummy? You should also be sure to eat throughout the day and spread your carb intake across all your meals. Now granted, I just had my first meal today (3PM EST -- let the verbal abuse begin!), but I agree that eating more consistently throughout the day should be the goal. Hey, do as I say, not as I do! How are the clothes fitting? With the weight training, you may be shifting weight around, and as many have mentioned already in other threads, the sore muscles may be holding on to water as they heal. Finally, you may want to take a closer look at your scale -- maybe the fat fairies were feeling unappreciated and snuck into your house one night and tweaked the settings so that everything weighs 201. I'd suggest tossing it from the second story and then trying it again.

| First of all, way to hang in there. You have a great attitude. Second of all, have you measured yourself? I haven't lost any weight in longer than you but I have been losing inches steadily. Its gotten to the point where I only use my scale to track body fat and muscle mass. As long as your are losing inches you aren't stalled according to Dr. A. Good luck! Here's some info that might help you: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...measuring.html (Why the Scale Lies - The Importance of Measuring) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ot-linear.html (Weight loss is not linear)

| That is all great advice! I really wish you success because the tone of your post seems like you are a little down about the situation. Did you ever think of backing up? Maybe, dropping back into Induction to get the weight moving? Eric is right on the money. You have to eat several times daily to keep your metabolism firing high. Moreover, you will definitely want to spread out whatever carbs you are taking in. Try to put something in your system every 2-3 waking hours. Have you given thought to maybe trying a low-carb protein shake? That way, you can bypass having to eat every one of your meals. Just hoping to help you get back in the VICTORY lane! - Minofex1 |

| Do not drop back down to Induction (IMO), eating fewer carbs does not mean you will start losing faster. That is a common myth in Atkins, eat fewer carbs lose more. That has not been the case for quite a few people, myself included. Google BMR calculator, that will show you about how many calories you need to eat in a day. Mine in 1475 cals a day. If you eat too few, you will go into Starvation Mode, and your body will not release its fat stores. Use Fitday, keep your percentages correct and you will start losing again! Good luck to you. |
