| Hey Everyone!, I sat at the table with my children as they ate pancakes and syrup and after I washed the dishes I realized not once did I sit and think about wanting a single bite!!!!!!! YEAH! I never in a million years would have thought I could have no desire for pancakes. Life is truly good |

| More veggies on the list for tomorrow. 08/09/08 - Day 5 Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pinches of cheddar cheese, 3 turkey sausages Snack/Lunch: 1 c. raw onion sauted, 3 cheese curds Snack: 3 1/2 inch slices of cheddar cheese Dinner: Boneless skinless baked chicken breast, 2 c. lettuce w/induction-friendly honey mustard dressing ... Weekends = not my best when it comes to eating on time. I always sleep in, nap, etc. But I'm in ketosis wooohooo! We bought a scale tonight but it's not digital so it doesn't do the .oz. I'm exchanging it tomorrow and very excited to be precise about my amounts. Off subject -- anyone watch the Olympics Opening Ceremony last night? It was absolutely GORGEOUS. I doubt any other country will be able to ever top it. Wow! Breath taking.

| What the heck are cheese curds and are they legal? Good for you for being willing to try new veggies. I bet you will find some new ones you like. Maybe they have to be done a certain way but that is okay!

| Yep, definitely willing to try new things as I never liked onion growing up until my mom recently starting cooking potatoes w/onions and I *love* them now -- but only warm and sauted. So she's making stuffed peppers soon which I've never liked but who knows now. Tonight's supper was just *so* yummy. 2 c. lettuce with that dressing, mmm!! And baked chicken w/rotisserie seasoning. I was like... this... is... a... diet...?! My mom's friend has lost 18lbs in 5 weeks now by the way! She says I might lose even faster b/c I'm not 40+ yrs old LOL =) Wouldn't that be nice?! I'll take whatever I can get, though. Cheese curds are fresh curds of cheese, often (and in my case) cheddar or mozzarella. They make squeaky noises sometimes too when they are really fresh. So yup, they're legal. Update on mom... She's really learning that if we cook once or twice a week a lot of meals it's beneficial. I am so happy she's really getting into this with my help of recipes. Planning ahead really does wonders. Whose in your display pic, Elsie? I LOVE Halloween! They look so cute!

| good morning everyone. hope all is doing well. got an early start to my day. feel asleep watching UFC fight, and DH left me on the couch instead of getting me up when he went to bed. ended up waking up at 3:30 am, been up ever since. will have to try to stay up today so as i don't get days and nights mixed up and can't get enough rest before work tomorrow. been taking advantage of the time though, getting some much needed house work done.(much easier when DH is sleeping)lol on a bright side, when i weighed myself yesterday for the 6 WEC, i had lost another 2 lbs this week. bringing my total weight lost since june 2nd to 25 lbs. after taking my measurements last night, i've lost around 18 inches since june 29th. now wishing i'd measured at the beginning of the diet instead of not until the beginning of the 6 WEC. i'm guessing though, that i've probably lost about 20-22 inches total since my start date. not too shabby huh.......i'm pleased with my progress so far. i think i'm gonna start my next rung on OWL. i'm gonna skip the alcohol rung, as i never drank that often anyways and go to the legumes rung. we are gonna make a chili for Bengals preseason game on monday, so it's a good time to add them into my diet anyways. there's been so many post the last few days that i'm not gonna try to respond to them all. i hope everyone is doing well and on plan. to any new buddy's, welcome you've joined a great support group here. feel free to post anytime you have questions, concerns, results, or just want to chit chat. to those who've posted losses in the last couple days, wtg!!!! keep up the great work. to those that are struggling, stay strong and hang in there. we are all pulling for you. |

| First off, welcome to Razzle. Second, congrats to moniegail on the lbs and inches! Stay strong with the 6WEC. Third, cheese curds are great. We have a cheese maker a few miles outside of town that supplies the local stores. They taste good and the squeaking makes them fun to eat. Official weigh-in today and.... I'm down 7.5 lbs! That puts me over 34 lbs total lost - second mini goal is definitely in sight now. Typically when I lose a lot of weight one week I don't lose much (or even gain a pound or so) the next, so it'll be interesting to see how this next week goes. Hope everybody has a great day! |
