| Technically I'm not losing anything, I am recycling the same couple of pounds the past few weeks. Once all the vacations are completed then I will kick it up a notch. Going away again on the 23rd, but this time the temptation should be less. |

| Elsie, were you referring to this article - DAY 15: Should I stay or should I go (to OWL)? I found it to be really helpful actually in our making the decision to stay with induction for only the next 2 weeks. I definitely plan on moving to OWL right after that. |

| Morning all: How's this for divine intervention: I was driving in to work, feeling weak, and pulled into this convenience store - yes, I was going to buy something sweet. I get out of the car only to be told the store was closed right now because the power was out! So I was saved from myself. Now I feel fine - the urge passed quickly. Welcome to the list Jen! Hope everybody has a good day. |

| Good Morning and thanks for the warm welcome to the buddy list. I really appreciate it! Now, for a question: About 6 weeks before starting Atkins, my hubby and I started bike riding. In the start I could not ride up my driveway, but quickly worked up to going 8 miles a day. (5 days a week) I had a few days of the induction flu the third day in last week, but that went away. But the lasting side effect I am still noticing is bouts of extreme weakness, especially during bike riding. Hills I could easily ride up before without stopping, I can no longer even get halfway up without just losing my strength. My legs just go weak. I've found this around the house too. Folding laundry the other day, I got halfway through a load, and my arms just went quivery weak. Other than being 25 lbs overweight, I'm in excellent health, I don't take any medications, have always been active, and I am taking a daily multivitamin. Is it normal to have this happen during induction? I'm assuming it is, but I'm in the second week, and still having issues with weakness. Just want to make sure it's not something out of the ordinary! Other than that I'm feeling great. Should I cut back on the intensity/duration of excersize while on induction? Jen |

| Hi everyone! I'm starting to feel a little better so I thought I would see how everyone was doing. Welcome Jen! sugarsack and caramella - I was nervous about going to OWL too but I'm so glad I did. You'll love it! Not much is new with me but I think I may have gotten a new job as a graphic/web design person for a company that puts on dance workshops all over the country. I need something to do while I'm waiting to start the NYPD. Anyway, the cool thing about it is that I get free dance classes at broadway dance center, which is a huge dance studio that has all kinds of classes. I used to dance in high school and I've been really wanting to get back into it because its so much fun and such good exercise. Yay!

| YAHHHH...I am back on! Problems in and outside with the internet. They had to replace something outside on the pole. Then some Y connection in the grey box was put on backward (that was done years ago) and then inside the guy said he has never even seen a modem like the one we had. He is saving it for coffee talk tomorrow. f4n...thanks for the list of snacks...makes me hungry just looking. Joe...I hear you...while holidays are great it does interfer with the routine. Keep chugging along! caramella...that was one of the articles but she goes a step further about how the extended folk do not succeed as well. How after extended induction goes on for a while they end up cheating and then doing induction over again...or because they didn't move up the ladder they didn't learn the lessons that are needed to keep the weight off. etc etc. sugar...stay strong. Now you know what damage a nut cluster can do...I liken it to an addict...you were 'clean' then you had your 'fix' and now you are back to fighting the cravings again. Try some tuna and mayo...some people say that helps. Don't ask me why. They will pass. If they don't check out your food ingredient in case there is something hidden in there that is keeping the craving alive. Mike...now if that isn't a sign!! Now it is up to you to help yourself. You now that if you don't cave the feeling will pass and you will be okay. Remember it. I am happy for you! Jen....it could your version of the induction flu and should pass but you may want to go to www.fitday.com and make sure you are getting approx. 30%protein/5%carb/65%fat during induction. Your protein needs to be up there especially because of your exercising. Vanessa...buddy! Glad you are feeling better. I am stoked for you for the dance classes!!! Very exciting. Bill....hope your power is back on and everything is fine. We are missing the Bazz family!!!
