| That's right Joe...she doesn't need to be present for everything. Look at it this way...it gives the girls and you a chance to make your own memories and gives Mom a break and a chance to regroup. LOL..Joe..I think you and I are recycling the same couple of pounds over and over again...still...you are right...as long as it ends up with at least maintaining until summer is over. BTW...I thought you said you were deep fried red...you are looking a little green to me...LOL! Britini...if you are eating to plan and exercising I think that 15 pounds is possible. It will depend on how well you do induction. That being said...take your measurements also because even if you don't lose the 15 you may still be down to the size you want. Check out Vanessa's (Scarlet) stats in this thread. The chili is induction friendly. Tomatoes are on the other veggie list. I bought a digital scale and enter my stuff into fitday by weight...just so I can be a bit more accurate. You are shooting for about 20 grams of carbs after fiber...12-15 of them at least should be from the veggies...the rest comes from eggs and cheese..salad dressing...that sort of thing. Britni...a little onion will be fine. I love that recipe. I can't believe you threw it out! LOL! It was posted in the induction friendly recipes..that means it is safe. I freeze it into individual servings to bring out as needed. Bet it wasn't as spicy as my first time I made it....I quadrupled the recipe which means I also quadrupled the red pepper flakes....LOLOL...breaking out in a sweat just remembering...LOL. Bill...good on you and family for staying legal...especially with the power out! sometimes that is all we can do. Carmella...YAH...no bagels, exercise and a walk...life is good!!! Monie...good to see ya girl!

| Elsie, i've been wanting to try that chili for sometime now, just can't seem to get around to fixing it. my DH is the chili cook in the house. he makes the best, but we both like it spicy, so he would tell me to quadruple the red pepper flakes in the single batch. probably the whole jar is we quadrupled it. it's still a little too hot here for chili, but soon it will be football season and weather will start to cool, then it's on!!!!!! the only thing i will miss, is the tortillas we use to eat the chili with, rarely ever do we actually use spoons to eat our chili. i've been wanting to make the flax crackers, so maybe i will make up some of them to eat our chili with. |

| I use a spoon too...so I can get every last drop. It is different because there are no beans. I have been known to add some other veggies to it as well in an attempt to get my veggies in. Still good. Flax crackers a good idea! Also cheese crisps may work...or bacon rinds..

| Livelaughlove08 --- Hope you feel better soon...I know when I went to the dentist to do my wisdom teeth that there was a lot of pain...but did you have to do it in the same day as your tonsils? OUCH! *Wraps you in a bandaid* No more pain for you! As for everyone else...I'm back to migraine mode! Oi! I hate having these headaches because it causes me to feel nauseated. Food of any sorts sound gross and I really don't want to eat. I will, however, move forward. I'll be back tonight! --Robin |

| mmmm chili. i haven't tried that one yet. I'll have to make some. livelaugh - try some canned pumpkin. i practically live off the stuff. just add some butter and cinnamon or pumpkin spice and a little sweetener and stick it in the microwave. robin - sorry about the migraines. I get the kind with nausea too. It's the worst! Since I've been on the plan I have them a lot less frequently now though. Hope that's the case for you. Hope everyone is having a great day!

| Elsie, LOL @ you breakin out in a sweat thinking about it! I'm going to have my PT measure me tonight after we have our FAST (functional agility sports training) class. Robin, maybe excersize to help get rid of that headache!? Always does the trick for me. And good morning all!! *WAVE* Can't believe we threw ithe chili away either! I had thought it was on the Induction recipes part but then that comment about no tomato juice threw me off and overboard! haha. At least we can enjoy it again guilt-free. The sour cream cooled it off but I guess we'll get rid of some of those pepper flakes next time haha! How much are digital scales? doesn't matter. such a good investment and idea. I think I might hop by Walmart today after work and get one. I have such trouble figuring out cheese's. Is Cottage Cheese okay by the way? I don't have the book w/me here at work and was thinking of going to get a little bit. So far today I had: 08/07/08 - Day 3 (really day 1 tho of no tortillas! LOL) Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, 1 "doughnut" (1g carb?, 3g carb) 4 carbs Snack: 1 plain hamburger with worsetchire sauce in it 0g carb? Lunch will be plain turkey wrapped in romaine lettuce and a string cheese. Then my afternoon snack will be another plain hamburger with worsetchire sauce in it. For dinner we are having chicken and if I'm grasping the concept right I still can get in two more c. veggies soo I will be having probably 1c. green beans and something else -- suggestions? I'm a fruit over veg girl so this is difficult! I feel like I'm not getting enough calories? I'm moving on the 16th of this month into a house with two other girls to be close to college. Soooo, this is another reason why I'm doing this diet. I want to feel comfortable in my house when we have guests over, you know? At my mom and I's we rarely have anybody over so unless I go somewhere I never have to worry about just sitting around the house with my belly and not having to conceal it/dress figure friendly. Silly non traditional goals of mine include - being able to dress in any costume I want for Halloween (my fave holiday but I never dress up...I'd like to be a VS angel LOL) - being able to join a dance class & not feel all jiggly - etc. lol I posted more in that section but just thought I'd share and post these for me to see allll the reasons why it's so easy to stick to this for the rewards. I'm just horrible at patience.

| LLL...nice to see you again! OUCH! You can still do soup and icecreamish. Chicken broth...or egg drop soup. Low carb icecream...how about some sort of frozen jello kind of thing, you know made with extra water and maybe some cream and freeze into a slush or popsicle kind of thing. Or a protein drink put in the freezer for a bit. That way it is still legal?? Hope you are feeling better soon. Robin....think you migraine was a reaction to a food? Vanessa...like you I have them WAY less eating this way. Britini...digital scales are great if the ounces are going down. Totally sucks to see them going up though...LOL. the fat % thing is not totally accurate so don't panic about the numbers on it if you get one. Punch those items into fitday to see if you are getting around your BMR...or a few hundred higher even. I don't know what a 'doughnut' is so can't help you there. How about some veggies and dip with your lunch? You can have some mayo on that turkey as well if you want. Hi Mike!
